Apparently the local Licensing authority recently received a complaint that a person was seen drinking out of a dog bowl in the pub.
Whilst this is not an incident we recollect, and this probably well-meaning person may have simply not wished to trouble us, or maybe had some self-identification issues, it is policy to provide fresh drinking water (in a glass!) to our (human) customers on request, free of charge. We might even put ice in it if you ask nicely!
Therefore, in the interests of hygiene, and, to be honest, your own dignity, we really would prefer you to ask at the bar if you're feeling parched, rather than competing with the canines 🐕
We don't want to get a reputation as being a ruff pub...
