The Stray Dog Brewing Company is more than just beer; we represent the spirit of adventure and the courage to pursue the passions that enrich our lives. Many people choose to give up on their dreams because of fear of failure, but yearn for something more. Metaphorically, a lot of us feel chained up in one form or another. These chains can be the result of external forces or self-imposed. The symbolism of a Stray Dog is the will to break free from these chains and venture out into the unknown. It represents freedom and defiance of a life of confinement and taking the risk to do something great even if it means leaving the security of the current life you’re living. The road ahead is unknown, but you’ll never know what possibilities lie ahead unless you venture out.

We're still riding the high from our 9th anniversary party this weekend, thanks to all who came out on Saturday & to everyone who has helped make 9 years a possibility. We have the best community around ❤️

We hope to see you all again soon, and we've got a couple events coming up this week to do just that.

🧠 Trivia is back on Wednesday, fight for the Champs title this week at 6:30pm. Always free to play but we fill up quick. Shoot us an email at [email protected] at 8am to secure your team's spot.

🎶 Open mic night starts at 8pm on Thursday, sign up begins in person at 7. Gin & Juice are hosting this week, come by for a great evening of local talent.

🤣 Zahan Sigara is back in the taproom this Friday with his Still Standing...Somehow show. Doors at 7, show at 8. Tickets available at the link in our bio.

💍The taproom will be closed 3:30-8:00 on Saturday for a private event. Pick up your cans before 3:30 or after 8:00. We love celebrating you ❤️ fill out the form linked in our bio to book your event with us.

It's always difficult to put into words what our anniversary parties mean to us.

Yesterday was our ninth and it was simply filled with so much love, friendship and community.

Huge thanks to all our staff and helpers, La Ha Tacos Valley Sausage Co. | 📍Ottawa and That Cafe for keeping folks fed, Ottawa tattoos - RAILBENDER STUDIO giving people their first or fiftieth tattoo.

Most of all, whether it was your first time at Stray Dog or it's your second home, we appreciate you more than we could ever express. We are truly thankful to be a part of your lives and humbled by your ongoing support.

🚍 ANNIVERSARY BEER RELEASE:
The 95 (DDH Pale Ale - 5.8%ABV)

As part of our 9th Anniversary celebrations, we’re releasing another beer that pays tribute to something that was a staple of the Orléans community for decades. For many of us, the 95 was the route that connected the East End of Ottawa to the West. The legendary red rocket made its final run on October 15, 2019, but if you spent any time in Orléans before then, chances are you’ve got a few memories of riding it. Sure, it was packed, had some funky aromas, and was sometimes late — but like us, it was always reliable.

The 95 is a juicy pale ale hopped entirely with Mosaic, bringing plenty of berry and tropical fruit, notes of mango, and a little dankness.

The 95 rolls into the brewery today, just in time for our Anniversary Party this Saturday! All are welcome. We’ve got new beer releases, amazing food, music, games and plenty more planned as we celebrate nine years.

We are pretty pumped to see you all Saturday. Weather is looking optimal as well.

There is currently some road work happening on Taylor Creek and Lacolle, so on street parking may be a bit challenging.

You are welcome to park at Fire Alert (access from Taylor Creek) and simply walk on over next door. There will be no parking at our location.

Please keep everything nice and clean, and if you've had a bit too much, you can leave your vehicle behind with confidence and pick up the following day.

Nine Lives (Hazy Pale Ale – 5.8% ABV)

Nine years of passion. Nine years of community. Nine years to get it right (or wrong). Here’s to nine years fully lived!

To celebrate our anniversary, we brewed Nine Lives, a juicy, balanced and vibrant hazy pale ale featuring three of our favourite hops: Citra, Mosaic and Nelson Sauvin. Bursting with bright citrus and tropical fruit, it’s fresh, aromatic and dangerously easy to enjoy.

This beer is a little celebration of how far we’ve come — but more importantly, of all the people who helped us get here. Whether you’ve been drinking Stray Dog since year one or only recently wandered into the taproom, thank you for being part of the ride.

Best in Show is back, and this time Zorel is taking centre stage. Zorel earned her spot on the can by taking home the top prize at our 2nd Annual Stray Dog Dog Show, held during last year’s Anniversary Party. 🏆🐶

Best in Show is our crisp, easy-drinking Light Lager — clean, refreshing and uncomplicated, with a light malt character, subtle hop presence and a dry finish that’ll have you reaching for another before anyone can yell “HEEL!”

And speaking of the Anniversary Party… this year’s party is happening THIS SATURDAY! Come celebrate with us, grab a Best in Show, and raise one to last year’s champion.

Mark your calendars folks, it's finally here!!

We're throwing a party to celebrate our 9th anniversary ✨ Join us on Saturday as we cheers to nine years 🍻

We'll have two brand new beers on tap, great local eats, family friendly games, and the best community around. We couldn't have done it without you ❤️

Before Saturday, we've got a week full of events.

Join us for:

🧠 Trivia at 6pm on Wednesday. Email us at [email protected] to claim your spot at 8am. Always free to play, but spots fill up quick!

🎸 Frequency 219 is taking over the taproom with acoustic rock, pop, guilty pleasures, and songs you know all the words to, this Friday at 8:30. Doors at 8. No cover.
