The Shore Club is right in the heart of Canada's capital city in downtown Ottawa. Located in the recently renovated Westin Ottawa, the restaurant is steps away from a number of attractions and historic sights, including the scenic Rideau Canal and Parliament Hill. The restaurant interior is reminiscent of art deco ocean liners, recreated in a decidedly contemporary fashion.

Maria’s journey to The Shore Club is one filled with new beginnings, adventure, and a love for connecting with people. She joined our Shore Club family 3 years ago as a server assistant. Her Shore Club favourites include our Crab Cake & Pepper Crusted Tuna 🍣 and to finish off her meal? Our decadent Chocolate Truffle Cake 🍫Maria’s TSC beverage of choice is our Margarita or a nice crisp glass of Pinot Grigio ✨

Maria began her career as a journalist at a television channel in Kyiv, Ukraine, before moving to Germany and eventually making Canada home with her mom. Along the way, Canada brought another beautiful chapter—she met her husband here, and the two recently celebrated their wedding. 🤍

Before joining our team, she continued her passion for storytelling while writing for an online magazine by the Parliament of Ottawa, where she interviewed inspiring people and brought their stories to life.

Today, she’s part of the Shore Club family, bringing her warmth, energy, and love of people to everything she does. Maria’s favourite part about working at The Shore? “The excellent, caring and understanding staff and management team” 🥰🫶🏼 We’re so happy to have you as part of The Shore Club Maria! Thank you for choosing us🥂

Fluent in Ukrainian, Russian, and English, with some Spanish too, she’s never stopped exploring. Outside the restaurant, she loves jogging, swimming, photography, picnics, and discovering new cities across Canada.
