Woodend Cellar & Bar Wine bar, restaurant & cellar door in Woodend, Macedon Ranges. An easy 1hr train ride from Melbourne. Open 7 days. The cellar door to the Macedon Ranges.

Tapas-style share plates, local and international wine, cocktails, craft beer, spirits & providore. We warmly welcome everyone to indulge in a curated selection of unique wines from our region, wider Victoria, interstate, and international. Take your time exploring our shelves, pantry, and fridge, where you'll also find an array of small batch spirits, craft beers, and providore items. Our cellar doors are open 7 days a week for take home drinks and gourmet pantry items. You can also join us at the bar from Thursday - Sunday for a classic cocktail, one of our feature wines on the pour, grazing platters, or anything from our shelves.

The Rum & Raisin Flip gets a local rework. CloudDistilleryAU Honeycomb Wh***ey Liqueur brings a warm, rounded sweetness alongside Dark Matter Spiced Rum, balanced with honey water and a whole egg for the velvety texture that defines a flip.

Every winter since 2015, a portion of Wilimee’s Pinot Noir has been bottled and submerged in the dam on the property at Lancefield. It stays there for five years. Constant cool temperatures, no light and the gentle pressure of the water above produce a w**e that develops differently to the same vintage aged conventionally in the cellar. Ben Ranken and Sally Richardson got the idea from shipwreck w**es, but rather than the ocean they chose something closer to home.

The 2020 Underwater Pinot Noir will be available to try as part of the Wilimee Underwater Flight we’re pouring across Budburst weekend (14-15 November): three pours for $49, tasting the underwater w**e side by side with the same w**e aged in the cellar and the 2025 current release. You can also meet Ben in person at the Friday 13 November launch of the 2025 Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, hosted at Woodend Cellar & Bar from 4pm. Book via our website.
