Want to taste wine from the oldest Grenache and Semillon vines in the world? 🍷

Next Wednesday, join Besk’s Sommelier, Trent Everitt, for a super special tasting event with Marco Cirillo, owner and winemaker of Cirillo Estate, who is the custodian of some of the oldest grape vines on the planet.

And if that wasn’t enough, it will be the last ever opportunity to taste the highest ever scoring wine on Wine Pilot (the 99+ point scoring 2019 Ancestor Vine Grenache) and never-before-seen fortified wines.

Marco is a passionate advocate for his vines, his wines and preserving the history of Barossa and the nine generations of Italian winemakers that precede him in his family.

We’re running two sessions for this one:

Tequila lovers, this one’s for you. We’re Exploring Agave with Esteban Morales!!

We’re incredibly excited to welcome Esteban Morales to Besk for one night only, flying in from Mexico for a rare evening dedicated to some incredibly special agave spirits.

With more than 15 years spent travelling Mexico, working alongside maestros mezcaleros and seeking out exceptional spirits, Esteban has become one of the most respected names in the world of agave. Now, he’s bringing six of those spirits to our table and guiding us through them himself.

Hosted in partnership with Agave Lux Australia, you’ll taste across regions, traditions and techniques. From the brand new Bagazo Tequila, built to fuel itself on its own agave fibre, to mezcals that carry the signature of the village, still and hand behind them. Each pour comes with Esteban’s own story: where it’s from, how it’s made, and why it’s worth slowing down for.

Your ticket includes a welcome NODO cocktail, snacks and a guided tasting of six spirits.

One last Sunday Roast, and this one’s for Dad!

We’ll be serving Sunday Roast every Sunday through to Father’s Day, Sunday September 6, when we’ll wrap up the season with one final feast at Besk.

If you haven’t tried it yet, don’t miss P.Princi Butchers Black Angus & Wagyu cross rump cap, stout braised + glazed beef cheek, roast potatoes, baby carrots, broccolini, whipped horseradish, Yorkshire pudding, and a good jug of red wine & port gravy.

Bring the fam, grab a few bottles from Besk Bottleshop and make a Sunday of it.

We highly recommend booking your table ahead of time, but a few tables will be held for walk-ins.

Wine 101 is your crash course in figuring out what’s actually in your glass, and more importantly, what you like drinking!

This Sunday, join Besk sommelier Trent Everitt for a guided tasting of five wines, covering everything from acid and tannin to body, structure and finish.

You’ll taste your way through a few different styles, figure out what you like (and don’t like) and pick up a tips for choosing bottles more up your alley next time you’re at the bottle shop.

Our latest feature cocktail menu has landed, and this one’s all about Diplomático Rum USA.

Consistently ranked among the finest rums in the world, Diplomatico makes some of the most versatile and delicious rums that work just as well in cocktails as they do mixed or sipped neat. There’s so much to love about the range, so we (Jack) have had a bit of fun putting our own spin on a few classics, making the kind of drinks we’ll be reaching for when the warmer days roll around.

Exploring…Piedmont, with Pio Cesare!

Join Besk’s sommelier Trent Everitt and Silvio Marocco from Pio Cesare for an extremely special Exploring Series event with one of the true stars of the Piedmont wine region. This promises to be one of the most exciting tasting events of the year, with some very special, and very rare bottles being opened, just for you!

Founded in 1881 Pio Cesare is now in their fifth generation of ownership and unique in many ways. Their cellar is based in the historic centre of Alba (the heart of Piedmont) in the old roman walls of the city. They are one of very few wineries based in the town of Alba. Their wine reflects the classic ethos and winemaking style of the region and we’ll be trying a range of styles, including some very limited bottlings of Barbaresco and Barolo.
