Thank you to everyone who joined us at the United Service Club this morning to commemorate ANZAC Day. It was wonderful to see the club full of familiar faces, mateship and community spirit from early this morning.

A special thank you to all veterans and serving members who joined us for breakfast; it was our privilege to have you with us.

ANZAC Day is a time to remember the ordinary people who did extraordinary things in service of Australia.

In Newcastle, that spirit lives on at the United Services Club , the city’s last Veteran-run club, founded by returned soldiers in 1927.

Lest We Forget 🌺

We’re open from 6am this ANZAC Day.

As a small thank you, we’ll be offering a free breakfast for all veterans and serving members.

The public is welcome to join us, with breakfast available to purchase throughout the morning.

A place to come together with people who understand what the day means.

⚠️ Unfortunately, tonight’s live music has been cancelled last minute due to unforeseen circumstances.

We know it’s frustrating - we only just found out as well.

The club is still open until 10pm, with Happy Hour 4:30–6:30 ($6 beers & house wines) 🍻

If you were planning to come down anyway, we’d still love to see you.
