We want to extend a huge, heartfelt thank you to every person who supported our recent fundraiser – Dinner for a Cause – held 1 October at Elio's Place. Overall, we raised $13,478 for the National Breast Cancer Foundation, supporting this Australian not-for-profit to continue its vital work funding breast cancer research.
The fundraiser's success reflects a huge effort by everyone involved: our terrific team who fully embraced event planning and delivery, our splendid suppliers who so generously donated goods and services, and our glorious guests who enthusiastically dined with us for a four-course dinner. Thank you so much to each and every one of you – we're so grateful for your support!
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and we're proud to support the vital work of the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF). Since the NBCF was founded in 1994, breast cancer death rates in Australia have reduced by over 40%, thanks in large part to research in prevention, early detection, and new and improved breast cancer treatments. Although progress is being made, there is still a long way to go.
