Launceston alert 🚨
I know it kinda goes without saying, given the attached images, but still everyone needs to be aware.
Mr Jake Bean here entered my venue 7.30 last night completely shirtless. (weather wasn’t exactly suitable remind you).
While obvious that illicit substances was on the menu for the guy earlier In the evening, I still feel for a person who literally doesn’t have a shirt on their back. My waiter informed him of dress code and he’d need a shirt, which he was unable to supply. I approached him a few minutes later to get a better read on the situation. He was intact, quite polite and respectful.
So, I decided to help. I retrieved a brand new demo shirt I had upstairs, a decent jumper from lost and found and a bottle of water, and handed those to him. He was appreciative.
For the next hour he walked about the bistro/bar area. I kept an eye on him, and obviously I knew I should have just tossed him out, but it was cold and raining, I couldn’t bring myself to do it at least while the business was still open. Other patrons took pity on him also and gave him ci******es.
But of course, the benevolence was actually not appreciated. When he had the opportunity, he grabbed the guide dog donation box off the bar counted and made off with it.
So just a heads up guys, don’t let this ….. gentleman into your establishment, it won’t end well.
Just for the record, the guide dog foundation has been contacted and a police report will be filed as soon as I have their comment on the matter.
