๐๐ช๐๐ก ๐๐ฅ๐๐๐ง๐๐ฉ๐ ๐ฃ๐ฅ๐ข๐๐๐๐ โ ๐ฃ๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐ช๐ข๐ข๐๐ฆ
Pamela Woods is a visual artist and educator based in Stanmore. Beginning her creative journey as a print illustrator with an interest in animation, Pamela later moved into teaching and writing, bringing her broad artistic experience into a practice centred around ๐ฐ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐๐ถ๐๐, ๐ฐ๐๐ฟ๐ถ๐ผ๐๐ถ๐๐ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐ฐ๐ผ๐บ๐บ๐๐ป๐ถ๐๐.
Through her alter ego, Classbunny, Pamela runs art workshops for the City of Sydney, festivals, councils and private clients, teaching more than 2,000 people each year. Her approach is all about staying curious, taking risks and constantly learning โ values she brings into both her teaching and artistic practice.
Her current artistic obsession? ๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฑ๐ถ๐ป๐ฒ๐. ๐ Pamela has spent the last few years painting them as still-life subjects, exploring colour, composition and form. Beneath their seemingly jaunty appearance, however, is something darker, with traces of blood reflecting the precarious times we live in.
Pamela is also a regular Art Battle competitor and became the ๐๐๐๐๐ฟ๐ฎ๐น๐ถ๐ฎ๐ป ๐ฐ๐ต๐ฎ๐บ๐ฝ๐ถ๐ผ๐ป in 2024. Her work has been exhibited across Australia, including a solo exhibition at the 2024 Frost Over Barraba festival.
