What better way to spend a cold wet Sunday afternoon than enjoying the music of Martini Set. Led by Steven Howard on guitar and vocals, with Bruce Sandell on reeds, Tim Nelson on piano, Henry Clark on bass and Gavin Gray on drums. These guys kept the audience engaged all afternoon and dancers on the dance floor. What a lot of fun and fantastic swing! We are thrilled to announce that we have engaged this lovely band for our New Year's Eve dinner dance!

The jams are held on the third Friday of each month, the next session is Friday 19 June, 10am - 12pm.

What a wonderful night of great danceable Jazz last night at Clayton RSL with the New Harlem Jazz Band. Led by Ian Smith on trumpet and vocals, with Pat Miller on reeds and vocals, Chris Ludowyk on trombone and vocals, Chris Farley on banjo and vocals, Richard Opat on drums and washboard, Doug Rawson on piano, and Mark Zeraffa on sousaphone these guys gave us a fantastic night of lovely music, played to a very appreciative audience. Nice to have peter McKay sit in for a while on piano too.Thanks New Harlem - we had so much fun!

Don't miss New Harlem Red Record Reunion - this is a wonderful band, still able to play amazing music after 50 years! We don't know if we will see them play again, so don't miss out!

Terrific night of Trad Jazz with Royal Garden Jazz band at the Clayton RSL. Led by Peter Hooper on banjo with Dave Gardner on reeds, giving us some wonderful solos and great vocals, with Rob Moffatt on trombone and fantastic vocals, Dan Gordon on bass and vocals, Steve Temple on trumpet and Ollie Shute on drums 9first time at Clayton for Ollie and Wow!) These guys are all such fabulous musicians and they gave us a delightful night of music. The dancers kept the dance floor busy and so many smiles around the room. Thanks for a fantastic night

Such a privelege to attend Dave Hetherington's Memorial - Celebrating a life in music on Wednesday and what a wonderful celebration it was! Dave's son Matthew regaled us with some lovely anecdotes about his dad, and so did Judy. So many of Melbourne's fabulous musicians provided fantastic music. The room was filled with talk, laughter and music - just what Dave would have wanted.
