The bottle that started the Wayfarers.

When we launched Whisky Wayfarers, 1792 Aged Twelve Years was the first bottle we brought to Australia for our members. Twelve years in Kentucky oak, World's Best Bourbon at the 2024 World Whiskies Awards, and a richer, more mature expression of 1792 than most people here have had the chance to try.

To open Bourbon Heritage Month, it's now available to everyone at Oak & Origin. Every bottle earns entries into the Double Eagle Very Rare draw.

Cherry Jelly Jam has landed, and it is available now.

A new Eagle Rare 11 Year Old single barrel, named for exactly where it goes. Barrelled in February 2015 and pulled at just past eleven years, this is the cherry note Eagle Rare is known for with the dial turned right up. Big ripe fruit, rich sweetness and a weight in the glass a 45% bourbon has no right to.

Eleven Kentucky summers pulled so much out of the cask that a full-proof bottling would have given a fraction of the usual run. It is also the first Eagle Rare single barrel in the new 700ml format for Australia.

Whisky Wayfarers had it first. Now it is everyone's, and it will not wait.

𝗥𝘂𝗺 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱𝘀 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗻𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀.

A full room at Brooksy for an evening with Flor de Caña, taking things well beyond the usual rum and Coke.

We worked our way through the 𝟭𝟮, 𝟭𝟴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝟮𝟱 𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿, before finishing with the big one: Flor de Caña 𝟯𝟱 𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿, one of only 350 decanters globally.

Matched food throughout the night, Tom McHugh taking everyone through the liquid, and a room made up of plenty of familiar faces from our whisky community alongside some serious rum drinkers.

That crossover was probably our favourite part. People who normally reach for whisky sitting down and drinking premium rum neat, discovering just how good this category can be.

And yes… a few bottles definitely found new homes afterwards.
