Whats going on good peoples!! Probably one of the biggest tap takeovers this year for us by hops and ABV. May I present you VALLEY DAY by Garage Project a real celebration of hops. Saturday 2nd October Which Craft Beer

The taste of place and time: celebrating hop terroir.

Our ‘Valley’ beers, collaborations with USA brewing legends Trillium Brewing Company celebrate and explore the terroir of hops by using hops only from one specific, unique patch of land in each beer.

We release our Valley beers but once a year, and this year’s release party is Friday 2 October.

On this day, you can find fresh batches of three Valley beers pouring at the best beer venues around NZ and Australia.

This year’s brews;

Sunrise Valley 8% : NZ’s top-rated beer on Untappd, brewed with hops from Freestyle Farms in Upper Moutere

Yakima Valley 8% : NZ’s second highest-rated beer on Untappd, brewed with hops from Yakima Chief in Washington, USA

Mātaktaki Valley 8% : NZ’s eighth highest-rated beer on Untappd, brewed with hops from Nelson Lakes in, you guessed it, Nelson Lakes

What perfect, dare I say Spring weather!? What better time to let y'all know thay we've tapped this FRESH Hazy for just this kinda day.

September in Wellington: nature says spring, while the wind tries to blow us back into winter.

Light lager, rolled oats, wheat malt and chitted wheat: a solid FRESH grist base to build on, with plenty of the building blocks you need for that smooth mouthfeel and haze.

The hop bill is a mix of big name US stars, and a good whack of local talent. Freestyle Southern Cross and Citra cryo build the foundation of the beer at the end of the hot side, followed by NZ Cascade and Riwaka alongside more Citra and Simcoe in the dry hop. The aroma from the glass is straight up mango and tangerine.

Then, that all important first sip. Great mouthfeel, sweet and satisfying, but not cloying and - there they are again; masses of juicy mango and tangerine, coming in with sweet fruit and finishing with clean citrus. It's super juicy and super drinkable and I want another sip.

Is it two dimensional? If it is, it's two dimensions we can really get behind.

Yoo another killer One Drop Brewing Co. smoothie sour this time made with their friends afar, Kristina & Chris, from Estonia's , First Light is a celebration of the connections that this great industry creates, no matter the distance. Inspired by the iconic Aussie pavlova, we've deconstructed the beloved dessert and rebuilt it as a vibrant pastry sour, layering bright fruit, creamy vanilla and delicate meringue character into something both familiar and new. With their brewery creating a Euro version of the iconic dessert.

Named for the first glow on the horizon, this sour is a nod to new friendships, shared experiences and the excitement of bringing people together from opposite sides of the world to create something special.

From Estonia to Australia, here's to good company, great times and First Light.

FUTURE BREWING are back on tap with their delicious Velvet Static. This Hazy IPA is double dry hopped with Citra, Krush and Waimea. This beer bursts with ripe mango, peach, pineapple, and sweet citrus. A pillowy body carries waves of tropical fruit and juicy stone fruit before a soft, lush finish.

Needle to the record. KAIJU! Beer & Hop Nation Brewing Co. take to the stage to drop the crispiest IPA of them all!

Skyline Scratch brings the DJ energy - that scratch, that turntable spirit, straight onto the can. It's also a nod to Hop Nation's home turf, looking straight out over the Footscray and Melbourne skyline.

A 60-day IPA fermented with lager yeast, leaning hard into spicy, tropical and citrus hop flavours. Urban culture meets crisp, layered California IPA brewing.

Oh boy what a banger of a day!! Working Title Brew Co. brings a smasher of a hoppy pale ale. A touch of wheat with a tickle of munich, mashed with a high temp to give malt sweetness for the heavy hop rates. Whirlpool and DDH additions of Amarillo, Mosaic and CryoPOP garners pine, orange zest, candied orange and tropical characters for a complexity belying the strength.

After Party is a brand new DDH IPA from Range Brewing that they've bombed with Citra, Nelson Sauvin and a nice chunk of Riwaka Amplifire to finish. It's a gorgeous yellow haze on the eye and the foam is actually so whippy that you could probably put a flake in it. On the nose, a subtle dankness hits first, followed by the sweet, sweet tropical Riwaka passionfruit that we adore. Take a sip and you'll be hit with an instant fresh and juicy hop saturation. Citra coming through cleanly with a lovely orange and mango note, followed by all that Riwaka passionfruit on the mid palate. The body is soft and creamy but balanced by just a hint of Nelson and Riwaka dank diesel on the backend to give it a finishing hop crescendo.
