Stefan Hauk back again for the Wednesday midweek blues.

After a few late changes last week, THIS WEEK Dusty Lee is back for Thursdays blues jam! So this one will absolutely not be one to bo missed!

Friday the Slim's Disciples guys are back. “Slim’s Disciples Presents” is a monthly residency at Memphis Slim’s House of Blues on Friday nights where the night is built around a specific theme. Featuring a 5 piece blues band, a lot of ground is covered from Jimi Hendrix, to British Invasion, to USA Southern Rock. It’s a deep dive each month into an exciting, fresh, and cohesive take on various different colours and styles of the blues, this week they are delving into King of Riffs. Think Led Zepplin, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple and the likes in what will be a fantastic Friday in the basement!

Saturday Sam Brittain & The Bloody Musos are back. Sam is known for his observational songwriting that blends roots music with elements of classic rock, with lyrics that are often inspired by his personal experiences and the lives of others. When he pulls a few of the bloody musos he knows up with him it makes it a great night!

Closign out the week with the debut solo gig at Memphis by Crybaby Cletus. His performances primarily feature heavily reworked traditional folk and blues songs, raw storytelling, slow ballads, and driving acoustic grooves. He often plays and references old travelling songs originally popularized by foundational roots artists like Jelly Roll Morton and Ramblin' Jack Elliott. We look forward to having him in the basement!

Stefan Hauk opening up the weeks live music on Wednesday with his usual ripper mid week slot. Enjoy whiskey specials while listening to some fantastic blues.

Dusty Lee's Blues Jam on Thursday and a little birdy told us that the man himself might be back on stage after returning from an extended period in Europe and Scotland. If we know one thing for sure, this jam will be sure to go off! Not to be missed!!!

Friday The T Bones return. Sav, Jack and Mario are a Blues trio, based in Adelaide for 23 years. Their music covers old school and contemporary blues, soul and swing styles with an original and refreshing approach.

Saturday we help celebrate the Lachie George Band's debut release 'Infrared (Live)'. 3 hours of hot blues playing all their originals and "jamming until the cows come home". Infrared is released TOMORRROW so be sure to give that a listen in preparation!

Sunday we close out the week with another great night with Tim Sheehan and Kerry Forward. Stripped back blues consisting of harmonica, guitar and vocals. The ideal way to finish the week of live music!

Load in default "basement weather" caption. It's cold. It's cloudy. It's a damn good time to get underground.

If you're a whiskey head, we got working with Sazerac a few years back to lock down our very own barrel of Kentucky Bourbon. It's been a long time coming, but the drop has finally made its way out of the barrel, over the ocean and onto our backbar.

Available from tonight until the barrel runs dry.

Stefan Hauk kicking things into gear tonight with his regular Wednesday arvo of blues.

Thursday we have another blues jam, they have been a bundle of surprises while Dusty has been in Edinburgh and this week is sure to be the same!

Friday the weekend kicks off with The Cobbacinos. Back with their rocking five piece. With Kynan 'Dyno' Duke on bass, Seany 'Yassou' Martin on skins, David ' Daddy' Martin on keys, Paris Clark-Proud on Guitar/Vocals, and the great Paul Ellery on harmonica/sax.

Sunday Zkye Blue return for another gig! A prominent deep rockin' blues band fronted by powerhouse vocalist Zkye Compson-Harris. The band is known for their high-energy live performances, featuring guitarist Nick Panousakis, bassist Damien Steele Scott, and drummer Andrew Bignell (or Toby Lang, depending on the lineup).

We close out the weekend on fathers day with Joe Amputch. Joe is a Fiji-born roots and blues artist who’s early life was drenched in traditional island, blues, gospel and reggae music, creating a unique sense of groove and rhythm. This blended this with his love and passion for all musical styles, makes for an engaging and captivating listening experience.

Wednesday kicking off with Stefan Hauk back for his regular midweek slot.

Thursday we have the blues jam with another surprise host while Dusty is over at the Edinburgh Fringe.

Friday and the weekend kicks off with Steve Gower’s (Mighty Sexy) Blues Katz! Featuring Billy Ragione, Izzy Kepes, Haka Lamonde and Steve Gower himself, be ready for a night filled with sexy grungy swamp blues! “It’s our duty, to shake ya booty”

Saturday Sam Brittain & The Bloody Musos return! Sam is known for his observational songwriting that blends roots music with elements of classic rock, with lyrics that are often inspired by his personal experiences and the lives of others. The band always brings a party vibe the the bar.

Sunday we have the return of Peter Allan from Victoria. Peter's music is grounded in 1920s blues, the great blues story-tellers, right through to urban blues of the 1950s. His original blues tunes bring the essence of blues into our 21st century world, helping to find meaning within the chaos and complexity that surround our lives.

Our usual midweek residencies with Stefan Hauk and Dusty Lee's Blues Jam on Wednesday and Thursday.

Friday is the next installment of Slim's Disciples Present. “Slim’s Disciples Presents” is a monthly residency at Memphis Slim’s House of Blues on Friday nights where the night is built around a specific theme. Featuring a 5 piece blues band, a lot of ground is covered from Jimi Hendrix, to British Invasion, to USA Southern Rock. It’s a deep dive each month into an exciting, fresh, and cohesive take on various different colours and styles of the blues. This month they're taking on 'Woodstock'.

Saturday is the return of Theo Pana and Streaker. Streaker are an energetic band with an awesome variety of songs from old school to new school anthems! Not one to be missed!

On the back of his Slim's Disciples gig on Friday, we close out the weekend with Lachie George on Sunday. A basement regular when playing with either Slim’s Disciples, The Lachie George Band or at almost every blues jam. Lachie is bringing a more stripped back gig for a Sunday solo set which is sure to pack just as much oomf.

Stefan Hauk kicking off the week once again with his regular Wednesday gig.

Thursday's blues jam will keep the ball rolling building momentum into another HUGE weekend!

Friday and the weekend kicking off with Joe Blake & The Snakes. Making their way down to the city from the swampy Murray Lands, these blokes get you moving and shaking and rolling and tumbling with their take on the blues!

Saturday night brings Badland Caravan, a psychedelic blues band formed in late 2021. They blend influences of 70s progressive and hard rock, 60s psychedelia, and 50s blues, while also incorporating elements of soul, funk, jazz, and Latin music.

M.J. Turner has been performing for over 25 years, performing around Australia and internationally, from Uluru to the Isle of Wight. He uses a range of instruments, loops, and storytelling to offer a captivating sound, featuring soulful guitar and earthy grooves covering a blend of genres, including blues, rock, and world music.

We gave the bartenders 48 hours of freedom and a brief reminder that the sun exists.

That’s enough of that.

The bourbons are back on the shelf, the kegs are fresh, the highballs are shining and we're ready to soundtrack another huge week underground.

The doors are opening, the lights are warming up and we’re ready to do it all over again.
