Chile Relleno | $18
A fresh pasilla pepper stuffed with pepper jack, egg-battered and fried until shatteringly crisp — then finished in suiza sauce and dusted with a snow of cotija. Served alongside our saffron-orange house rice, scratch-made black beans, and a bright, fresh slaw.
It’s one of those dishes that looks simple on paper but takes real skill to get right. The batter has to be light. The pepper can’t be overcooked. The sauce has to pull it all together without hiding what’s underneath.
We’ve been making it from scratch since day one.
Pair it with our June Drink of the Month — the Watermelon Cucumber Margarita. Jimador Cristalino, fresh watermelon-cucumber juice, lime, and agave, served over ice in a Tajín-rimmed mason jar. Summer in a glass.
