CELEBRATING 20 years of Ray J's in Woodbury!

Wow! Crazy to think it’s been 20 years at Ray J’s Woodbury. My dad (Ray Jacob) came to my brother and I with the opportunity to operate a restaurant on our own. Not quite sure how they thought a 23 and 20 year old were capable of running a restaurant , but I guess he and my mom felt we were mature enough (we weren’t). I will always be grateful for them believing in us and all the time they took to train us at our original location Schullers in Golden Valley. When it came to naming this restaurant there was never a doubt in my mind that we had to honor my father’s name. The work that he and my mom put in at Schullers and into raising us boys could never be repaid.

This place has meant so much to our family. It’s the location where I met my wife and now we have 4 beautiful children. We have met so many great people here whether it’s guests that come in or former/current employees. Numerous relationships were built here that will forever hold memories with us.

So we say THANK YOU. To all who have played a role in these past 20 years. If you’ve been here once, if you’ve been here 100 times or if you worked here at some point, thank you. Thank you for being part of our family and thank you for your support.
