It's time for a sensory sesh with Nolan + Estate Grown Thora! ⚡
Developed through a collaboration between the Hop Quality Group and USDA-ARS, Thora is a bold new public hop variety that packs a serious punch. Bursting with tropical notes of passionfruit, guava, and bright citrus, Thora delivers a powerful sensory experience worthy of its name.

Fun fact: Thora takes its name from the Old Norse word Þórr, meaning "thunder." And with its intense aromatics and expressive character, it's certainly living up to the name. Look for Thora to make some noise in NEIPAs, West Coast IPAs, Pale Ales, and even hoppy la**rs.

Big things are happening in public hop breeding, thanks in part to the brewers helping move it forward!

At our recent Harvest Party, we presented a $30,921 check to the Hop Quality Group (HQG) to support the future of public hop breeding. The contribution comes from our pledge to donate $1 for every pound of Crop Year 2026 Estate Grown Thora contracted. A huge thank you to every brewer who chose Thora and helped make this possible!

Public hop breeding plays an important role in the future of our industry, bringing growers, brewers, and researchers together to develop innovative new varieties that are accessible to everyone. Thora is a great example of what's possible. The first variety to emerge from the partnership between HQG and USDA-ARS, Thora combines bold aroma and flavor and agronomic performance, giving brewers an exciting new tool for their creative toolbox.

We're proud to support the program that brought Thora to life, and even more excited to see what HQG has in store next. Cheers to continued innovation, collaboration, and the next generation of great public hops!

The Crosby Harvest Roadshow is on tour!

We’re bringing the best of this year’s Oregon hop harvest directly to brewers, with whole leaf samples highlighting standout varieties and lots from Crosby Hops and beyond.

Get hands-on with Estate Grown hops, HBC varieties, Crosby Crispy Series, and experimental selections while exploring aroma, lot differentiation, brewing potential, and what makes the 2026 crop unique.

Come rub some hops, grab a b**r, talk shop with the Crosby team, and get a firsthand look at this year’s harvest... without having to make the trip to Oregon.

Bailing is the last step in the process before the pellet mill. When the hops are done cooling after being removed from the kiln, they’re compressed into 200lb. bales and put in cold storage until they’re pelletized at our on-farm mill.

Thanks to all who attended our annual harvest party! We lived, we laughed, we cried out into the night during live-band karaoke. We also presented the Hop Quality Group with a check for $30,921 — one dollar for every pound of crop year 2025 Estate Grown Thora we sold — to support public hops. It was an amazing night, and we can’t wait to host you all again next year at TopWire Hop Project!

A big thank you to everyone who came out to our first annual Crosby Hops Breeding Program tour!

We had a great turnout and an awesome afternoon getting into the rows with our hop breeding expert, Dr. Jay Kalous, to see firsthand how the next generation of hop varieties is taking shape.

Guests got their hands on some of our most promising multi-hill lines, rubbing, smelling, and evaluating hops, then finishing with a well-earned b**r at TopWire, our acclaimed on-farm b**r garden.

Harvest is the best time of year at Crosby, and there's no better place to experience it than right here on the farm. Our annual Harvest Party takes place at TopWire Hop Project, our on-farm b**r garden surrounded by hop fields, bringing together brewers, growers, and friends from across the industry for an evening of b**r, food, live band karaoke, and plenty of time to catch up.

With harvest in full swing, we’ll also be offering guided tours for a behind-the-scenes look at our harvest facilities during the busiest (and best-smelling) time of year.

This year’s celebration will include the presentation of a check to the Hop Quality Group, fulfilling our pledge tied to Estate Grown Thora sales and supporting continued innovation in public hop breeding.

Come experience Oregon hop harvest at its peak, grab a b**r, sing a song, and spend an evening with the people who make this industry such a great community. It’s one of our favorite nights of the year, and we’d love to celebrate with you.
