I want to make something very clear about Eckbar.
I’ve worked incredibly hard over the last five years to create more than just a place to grab a drink. I’ve worked to create a place where people feel welcome, comfortable, respected, and most importantly, SAFE.
And I will be damned if I let anyone jeopardize that.
Taking inappropriate pictures of someone without their knowledge or consent, making unwanted physical contact, sexually harassing someone, or behaving in a way that makes my bartenders or customers uncomfortable will NOT be tolerated. Period.
If someone makes you uncomfortable at Eckbar, PLEASE SPEAK UP. You can tell any bartender, ask to speak with me directly, or send me a private message if you’re more comfortable doing so. You do not have to confront the person yourself, and you do not have to wait until something escalates to say something. If you witness inappropriate behavior toward someone else, I want to know about that too.
Every concern will be taken seriously, handled as discreetly as possible, and addressed appropriately. If someone needs to be removed or banned from the bar, I will not hesitate to make that decision. I don’t care if you’ve been coming here for five years or five minutes.
I love my bar. I love the people who make it what it is. And I will protect the environment we’ve worked so hard to build.
Respect my bartenders. Respect my customers. Keep your hands to yourself. And don’t be a creep.
It really shouldn’t be that difficult. ❤️
