Since originally founded in 2007 by Bill and Stephanie Prioste in the Tracy Hills appellation of Northern California, Windmill Ridge Winery has enjoyed a loyal, almost "cult-like" following. Jorge Violante has been the Winemaker for the winery since its founding. Exciting changes are coming to you!! Windmill Ridge Winery was voted the Best New Winery in 2008 by the San Joaquin Magazine readers. In
2009 was voted Business of the Year by the Tracy Chamber of Commerce, and in 2010 through 2014 was voted Best of Tracy. They hope you will come enjoy the festivals, concerts and wines at their wonderful winery.

Sunday we had the pleasure of meeting Ricardo Moreno. If you don’t know who this gentleman is, he was just on The Voice. This young man is going places in life and we were honored to have him at our establishment.
He sang his heart out and little did we know we would be getting a two for one deal. His father Ricardo Sr. Is also an amazing singer himself! Thank you to Ricardo and his family for the incredible performance and great time. We look forward to having you guys back!
Next collaboration event with Ricardo is in the works 😉

Dear Family and Friends,
We want to take a moment to share an important update with you. After much thought and consideration, we have made the difficult decision to temporarily close the winery and lounge to prioritize family health and complete much-needed construction projects. Our last day open will be March 30th, schedule to remain as usual as shown below.
HOURS:
Monday - Wednesday : CLOSED
Thursday - Saturday : 3:00 - 9:00 PM
Sunday : 12:00 - 4:00 PM
This decision has not been easy, as we cherish every single one of you who walks through our doors. Many of you know the challenges we've faced over the last few years, and while our love for this space and incredible community remains unwavering, it is time for us to focus on completing the projects we've started and, most importantly, to be present for our aging parents and our children.
But before we press pause, we want to make March an unnforgettable month! We hope to see as many of you as possible- whether it's for live music, a toast with one of our refreshing drinks, or simply a moment to share stories, laughter, and memories.
Your unwavering support has meant the world to us. You have been more than guests- you have been family. As many of you have heard me say, this is a space where people come in as customers, leave as friends and return as family. We deeply appreciate your understanding and kindness as we take this time to reset, refocus, and ensure that when we return, we do so stronger than ever.
Please help us spread the word and from the bottom of our hearts, thank you for being a part of this journey with us. We can't wait to raise a glass with you this March!

The Violante family is pleased to have acquired Windmill Ridge Winery in 2014! Since originally founded in 2007 by Bill and Stephanie Prioste, in the Tracy Hills appellation of Northern California, Windmill Ridge Winery has enjoyed a loyal, almost "cult-like" following. Jorge Violante has been the Winemaker for the winery since its founding. Jorge has played a key role in the development of the winery, its wines, and the culture shared by much of the community. Through his tenure, Windmill Ridge Winery has produced several award-winning wines and has achieved the honor of receiving awards from its community. Windmill Ridge was voted the Best New Winery in 2008 by the San Joaquin Magazine readers. In 2009, the winery was voted Business of the Year by the Tracy Chamber of Commerce, and in 2010 through 2014, was voted Best of Tracy. If you find Jorge, while visiting the winery, make sure to ask him about the wine-making process.
Alongside his father, George Violante, helps with the operations and management of the business and George’s partner, Jeimy Lopez, is responsible for the event planning and coordinating. If you ever ask what is the family’s drive and enthusiasm, you will clearly see that their two daughters, 5-year old Avabella and 2 1/2-year old Zaylee, are definitely it! From time to time, you might see them running around the winery grounds and stopping by the tasting room to say hello. While visiting, make sure to try the Avabella Rose’ and the Zaylee Pinot Grigio..... both very refreshing and delicious!
As our family continues to grow and we re-brand the winery, we hope you will come and enjoy our handcrafted wines!!
