We've got something for you PIRATES!!!

Friends and Heathens,

This Saturday, October 24th, at our 6:30 Dumpster Fire Show we have the privilege of hosting our dear friend and one of the fabulous cast members of the Green Hour for an extra special all ages burlesque performance! Please welcome Golden Rum herself, Commodore Goldie Blackwater, aka Verona Lee!!

Hailing from the small town of Bryan, TX
Verona Lee- The Wonder Bra of Burlesque (cause when she takes it off you wonder where they went) is a dazzling performer who lifts the curtain on laughter and seduction. Born from the sisterhood of the Barbarian Bombshells Verona’s journey into the world of burlesque began with her debut at the inception of The Wyrmwood Public House and has continued to grow ever since.

When shes not personifying the spirits of the Wyrmwood in the Green Hour as Gold Rum, you can catch her on various stages across the US alongside the incredible performers of High Fantasy Events, as the helping hand of the juggling fool himself Paolo Garbanzo, or as a part of her local burlesque troupe Wretched and Divine.

We will have the pleasure of hosting Green Hour performers throughout the season. Stay tuned to see what other lost Spirits we can conjure up. Come play with us 🤍💛💚

MISSING: Mezcal’s Agave !!! 🌵

Have you found our displaced Mezcal?

10/15/2026

After six extraordinary weeks of rebuilding, problem-solving, and watching our incredible community rally around us, we’ve made the decision to give Wyrmwood something it deserves: time. 🕰️

Wyrmwood Public House will remain closed for the 2026 season as we turn our focus toward an extraordinary grand reopening in 2027. ✨

When the fire changed our plans just weeks before opening day, we set out to rebuild quickly, safely, and get our doors back open. Thanks to the tireless work of our team and the overwhelming support of our community, we’ve made tremendous progress.

But Wyrmwood has never been just a building, and rebuilding that level of immersion, magic, and beautiful excess in just six weeks is another matter entirely.
And we’ve decided not to rush it.
Instead, we’re dreaming bigger, building stranger, finding more velvet, adding more gold, and preparing for one hell of a homecoming.

While Wyrmwood rests and rebuilds, our magic continues throughout the faire! Visit our newly reimagined Tecuani Trading Post ( #224) 👒, escape the chaos at our BRAND-NEW ho**ah lounge 💨Nomad’s Rahā ( ), join the revelry of The World’s MOST Pub Crawl! Plus, our tried-and-true favorites aren’t going anywhere. Grab a fresh bag of Kettle Corn ( ), hop aboard a rickshaw and make your way to The Tap ( #162) to take home a bottle of our house-recipe Mead or W**e. 🍷 Adorn yourself with a garland, arm your little adventurers with a sword and shield, and don’t forget to find the perfect keepsake from DragonSlayer ( #163) to remember another season at faire. ⚔️

You can still find our beloved Green Hour performers bringing their particular brand of magic and mischief to life throughout the faire! 🎭 Catch them entertaining in the lanes, making surprise pop-up appearances at our other booths, and guest-starring on stages throughout the festival.

To our patrons, performers, staff, friends, and festival family: thank you for every message, every helping hand, and every bit of encouragement you’ve shared with us. You’ve reminded us exactly why this strange little place deserves to be rebuilt with all the care and extravagance we can give it.

For current ticket holders: Please check your email for important information regarding ticket exchanges and refunds.

Bonjour à tous! 🧚

Thank you so much for your patience and for bearing with us as we work toward reopening Wyrmwood. We know how many of you are excited and waiting in anticipation.

Within the next couple of weeks, we will share updates regarding our opening timeline, plans for current ticket holders, and plans for future ticket sales.

A project of this scale requires tremendous care and coordination, and our teams are working diligently around the clock to establish a safe and reliable path forward. We are every bit as eager as you are to bring Wyrmwood back to life, but the safety of our guests and team must come first.
We are committed to taking the time necessary to do this properly and thoughtfully.

The support and encouragement we’ve received from all of you have shown us that despite this tragedy, we have gained so much more than we have lost.

From the bottom of our absinthe-soaked hearts,
Thank you. 🍸

The Wyrmwood Public House Team ✨

Monday afternoon, our building experienced a fire that caused significant damage to our space. We believe the fire was caused by a faulty appliance plugged in on the first floor, within our retail space. Thankfully, no one was in the building when the fire began and no one was injured. The fire was contained entirely within our building, and no neighboring booths were affected.

We are incredibly grateful for the swift response of the Texas Renaissance Festival Grounds Crew, Todd Mission Volunteer Fire Department, Montgomery County ESD No. 10/Magnolia Fire Department, Plantersville Fire Department and all of the first responders who worked so quickly to extinguish the fire. Watching so many people come together to save our home was truly incredible.
We’re also deeply thankful for the craftsmanship that Gene Haynes & the Medieval Builders put into building a structure sturdy enough to remain standing and contain the fire within its walls.

It’s difficult to see a place that has held so many memories, performances, celebrations, and wonderfully unique moments change so suddenly. But if there’s one thing we know for certain, it’s this:

The building was always the LEAST magical thing about this place. ✨

The magic is in the people who dreamt it up, the artists who brought it to life, the team who poured themselves into each day, and every person who walked through our doors and became part of its story. We know so many of you feel this deeply alongside us.

Buildings can be rebuilt. Spaces can be reimagined. And like the phoenix, we will rise from the ashes, even greater than ever before. 🐦‍🔥

We’re still assessing what comes next and ask for a little patience while we find our footing. We’ll share updates as we have them.

For now, we are not able to answer questions regarding current ticket holders just yet, but please know that we will update everyone as soon as we have confirmed information to share.

Thank you for your patience, understanding, and the incredible amount of love and support already surrounding us.

This isn’t the end, tis but a fleshwound. 🧚🏻✨
