What we drank in Bodega Bay. 🍸🌊

A good cocktail has always been about more than what’s in the glass for us.

This weekend gave us Mai Tais, an Aviation, a Paper Plane, a Beachcomber, and a Hemingway Daiquiri variation made with butterfly-pea-flower-infused gin.

But what we’ll remember just as much are the places we found and the people behind the bar.

Ta**ra on Friday. Fred on Saturday. Sam on Sunday.

Good drinks. Good conversations. A few new discoveries—and plenty of inspiration to bring home.

That’s the part of exploring we love most. 🔥

We went in for one bottle. 🍹

The mission was simple: find falernum so we could finally make a Three Dots & a Dash at home.

We found it.
We also found a few other things.

Then we got home and realized we were still missing two ingredients. 🤦‍♂️

Back to the store.

Eventually, everything made it home and the Three Dots & a Dash finally made it into the glass.

Sometimes making the cocktail is only half the story. 🔥

Some recommendations stick with you. 🍸🔥

During our birthday weekend in Bodega Bay, Ta**ra introduced us to Chareau Aloe Liqueur.

We remembered it.

Then, on a completely different day, we walked into Total W**e looking for ingredients to make a Three Dots & a Dash—and there it was.

So naturally, a bottle followed us home.

That’s becoming one of our favorite parts of Fuego: the things we discover when we’re out have a way of finding their way back into our home bar.
