There have been so many days where I tried pretending I was fine, sitting quietly with too much on my mind, and somehow my dog always noticed before anyone else did. She’ll slowly come closer, rest against me without asking for attention, and stay there like her only job in the world is making sure I don’t feel alone. I honestly don’t know how they sense sadness so easily, but there’s something unbelievably comforting about being loved by a soul who asks for nothing except closeness in return. Some people think dogs are just pets, but anyone who has cried into soft fur after a difficult day knows they become emotional anchors in ways words can barely explain. The comfort they bring is so pure and instinctive that it changes your heart forever once you experience it. 🐾
