Karlstad American Legion Post 445 and Auxiliary

The Karlstad American Legion Auxiliary invited Greenbush, Halma/Lake Bronson, Lancaster, Strandquist, Newfolden, and Middle River Units to a "Meet and Greet" our 9th District President Margee Keller and her secretary, Sharon Lanctot from the Crookston Unit. Potluck supper and a short meeting was enjoyed. I Thought I had pictures of the units that attended but I guess not, Sorry I missed them on my camera.

The American Legion and Auxiliary held their 3rd annual membership supper at the Rainbow Club in Strandquist. A wonderful steak or walleye supper was enjoyed by all. Special guests were our District President, Margee Keller and her Secretary, Sharon Lanctot of the Crookston Unit #20.

Commander Wayne and President Joanie went to the Department Rally in Montevideo, MN and on the way they stopped at the Minnesota Veterans Home in Fergus Falls visiting with friend Paul Anderson and his wife Marilyn. Also visited with a former resident of Karlstad Al Larson who resides at the Veterans home. Al greets all his friends in Karlstad and says if you go through Fergus Falls to stop in and visit. Our tour was wonderful and what a wonderful facility to have for our Veterans. Thank you Deanna for taking the time to show us around.
