SqWires is proud to be a 5-star certified Green Dining Alliance member. We support local - we buy ingredients & products that are local, organic & responsibly raised. SqWires is proud to support this wonderful historic Lafayette Square neighborhood - we sponsor concerts, movies & annual house tours. Louis Originals member - thank you for supporting independent restaurants! What’s in a name? SqWires is a handsome redesign of a 19th-century brick structure, part of a Victorian–era factory complex. The former Western Wire manufacturing buildings, located on an entire city block in historic Lafayette Square, originally housed the American Bed Factory. In 2001, the complex was totally renovated & converted to house SqWires Restaurant, plus 80 business & residential lofts. The name SqWires combines its location in the Square & history of the Western Wire factory. SqWires Annex & Front Room are perfect for your next event! Rehearsal dinners, weddings, receptions, holiday parties, business meetings - we would love to help you! Give us a call or email [email protected].

“This place is amazing. Brisket hash was unbelievable.”

They also raved about our mimosa and Bloody Mary bar and all the ways to dress up your drink. Just look at that lineup! 👀

In case you haven’t been to Fried Chicken Thursday at SqWires… here’s what you’ve been missing. 🍗👀

Some Thursday traditions are worth making room for. Come hungry, bring a friend, and let us handle dinner.

Send this to someone who needs to join you this Thursday.

Our hearts are full, SqWires friends. ❤️

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our 25th anniversary celebration, raised a glass, shared a memory, or sent some love our way.

You’ve made SqWires part of your lives, from wedding days and birthday dinners to Sunday brunches and “let’s grab a drink” Thursdays. Getting to be part of those moments is something we’ll never take for granted.

To our guests, our neighbors, and the incredible team who makes it all happen: thank you for these 25 years.

Here’s to more memories around the table. 🥂

10/17/2026

We did it. We made it to 25! 🥂

To everyone who’s pulled up a chair, worked a shift, or made SqWires part of your traditions: thank you. You’re the reason we’re here.

Happy anniversary to us! ❤️

The view never gets old. Officially 25 tomorrow.

10/15/2026

25 years of recipes, memories and a whole lot of meals shared around our tables. 💕 We also had to throw in the top song from 25 years ago as well.

Some of these dishes have been with us since the very beginning. And judging by the quality of some of these photos, so have the pictures. 😂

Meatloaf. Veggie lasagna. Chicken pot pie. Bread pudding.

Recipes we’ve made again and again. Recipes you’ve ordered for years. Recipes that somehow became part of the story of SqWires.

Give us a round of hearts for the dishes that helped get us to 25. ❤️

And tell us: which one brings back the most memories?

A little Lafayette Square fall beauty from last year and an invitation to make some new memories with us this week. 🍂❤️

We still have some reservations available for our four-course, $25 anniversary tasting menu! Join us through Friday, October 16, from 5–9 PM as we celebrate 25 years of SqWires.

Our regular menu is still available, too! There will be no fried chicken night this week during our anniversary celebration.

Reserve on Tock and simply choose “Dinner”—you’ll be able to order the anniversary tasting menu when you arrive.

A walk through the park and dinner with us? Sounds like a lovely way to celebrate. ❤️

Twenty-five years later, these favorites are still on the menu. ❤️

This week, Bethany and AJ joined KMOV’s First Alert 4 to talk about our upcoming anniversary celebrations and a few recipes that have been with us since the beginning:

🍽️ Meatloaf served with au jus, whipped potatoes, green beans, yellow onion, and bacon.

🍆 Noodle-less Vegetarian Lasagna with zucchini, eggplant, carrots, red onion, yellow squash, goat cheese, and grated Parmesan, baked in tomato sauce.

🍞 Bread pudding, because we couldn’t leave out something sweet!

🍸 And, of course, our Urbantini: house-infused raspberry vodka, raspberry liqueur, pineapple juice, and ch*****ne frozen grapes.

So much has changed since 2001, but we still love making the dishes you keep coming back for. Thank you for giving us 25 years in Lafayette Square, St. Louis!

Come celebrate with us Thursday, October 15, from 4–8 p.m. with live music, appetizers in the Front Room, and $2.50 bottled b**r, mixed drinks, and w**e. 🥂
