Wow. We are incredibly grateful for the way this community has welcomed Bethany’s sister’s new restaurant, Picky Café.

Seeing so many familiar faces stop in, share kind words and support another family-run Lafayette Square business has meant so much to all of us.

And now there’s a little SqWires over there too! SqWires grab & go is available at Picky Café, along with Erin’s freshly baked bread, market flowers and plenty more to discover.

Thank you for continuing to show up for our family and for this neighborhood. We are very lucky to call Lafayette Square home.

We’re so excited to welcome even more family charm to Lafayette Square as Chef and SqWires owner Bethany’s sister opens Picky Cafe right across the street.

It’s been so much fun collaborating and watching this beautiful historic space come to life, and we’re thrilled to have another family-run spot joining the neighborhood.

Picky opens August 31, and we can’t wait for everyone to experience it.

Lafayette Square has a new urban garden, market, and cafe. Picky Cafe (1410 S. 18th) debuts on Monday, August 31, featuring a seasonal menu of breakfast, lunch, baked goods, coffee, and smoothies alongside a retail area complete with curated goods, fresh local produce, flowers, and grab-and-go fare....

Keeping it in the family 💛

Something new is opening across the street from SqWires on August 31, and this one is extra special.

Bethany’s sister is opening Picky Café & Market right here in Lafayette Square!

Picky will be a neighborhood spot to gather over seasonal dishes, handcrafted drinks and market favorites, and you might notice a few familiar things too. 👀 Some SqWires to-go favorites will be available at Picky, so you’ll have another way to bring a little SqWires home with you.

After nearly 25 years of our family being part of Lafayette Square, we’re pretty excited to have another member of the family putting down roots right across the street.

Welcome to the neighborhood, . We can’t wait for you to meet them! 💛

The world lost an absolute legend this week. 🕊️✨

We are deeply saddened by the passing of Dolly Parton. To honor her beautiful spirit, kindness, and unmatched legacy, we are pouring her signature creation behind the bar all week: the Dirt Road Martini.

This comforting blend of vodka, unsweetened iced tea, and a savory splash of giardiniera brine comes straight from her own family cookbook.

Please come pull up a chair, find your spot at the bar, and raise a glass with us to a lifetime of pure joy, music, and community. The world is a little less bright without her, but her spirit will live on forever.

This is why we love being part of the big days. ❤️

As we get closer to celebrating 25 years of SqWires this October, we keep thinking about just how many celebrations have happened inside these walls.

Weddings. Rehearsal dinners. Birthdays. Anniversaries. Showers. Family gatherings. And so many moments in between.

Ashley recently celebrated her wedding with us and left the kindest review:

St. Louis, did the 80s just become sweater weather? 😂

After the heat we’ve had, we’re calling it close enough for Chicken Pot Pie.

Golden, flaky crust. Warm, comforting filling. And apparently we’re not the only ones thinking about it:
