Handlebar J also offers two-step and line dance lessons during the week as well as one of the best daily happy hours in Scottsdale. Handlebar J, "Scottsdale's Original Rib House" and saloon, is one of a kind; Herndon family owned and operated since 1967... (established in 1966.) Built in the early 1960s by "Wild Bill Byrd" the original name was "Wild Bill's". At that time there were only a few western style saloons in North Scottsdale, since then, all the others have come and gone.
