Join our kitchen team as a Line Cook.
SideYard is a small, family-owned business located in Sawyer, MI. We are a full-service bar with a fun, fast-casual food menu that rotates seasonally.
Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality
- Maintain food safety and sanitation standards by following proper handling procedures and cleaning protocols
- Support kitchen operations during busy service hours, managing multiple orders efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
- Handle food with care, ensuring proper storage, labeling, and rotation to minimize waste
- Communicate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen workflow and timely delivery of meals
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a line cook or in a professional kitchen setting is preferred, but not required. Will provide training
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and proper food handling practices
- Strong communication skills, we have a small kitchen & communication is crucial
- Reliable transportation is a must
- Must be available nights + weekends
