We don’t have to explain what Dolly Parton means to an LGBTQ+ institution. We don’t have to explain what she means to our community. We just know.

For generations, Dolly showed us that you could be larger than life and still lead with kindness. That glamour and goodness could exist in equal measure. That there was room in this world for rhinestones, big hair, bigger dreams, and an even bigger heart.

Her light, warmth, humor, generosity, and love could never be measured — and this world feels a little less sparkly without her in it.

And, as Dolly reminded us, “It’s hard to be a diamond in a rhinestone world.”

Thank you for being one of the brightest diamonds we ever had.

While getting everything moved into its new home, we had to stop and take in the walls of The Lady Chablis dressing room. Every inch tells a story.

Here are a few snippets, along with a small video of the room itself. Celebrities, performers, friends, and loyal patrons all gathered here to commune with Chablis, leaving their signatures and memories on these walls.

Love, legacy, laughter, and friendship still live here — preserved in every message, every mark, and every moment shared in this sacred little space.
