ry, if you want to have a great restaurant where you touch people, you must show your passion to them. You feel the love and care and the attention to detail. I feel strongly that it’s the people who make the difference between just a restaurant and/or a place you really enjoy dining. I wanted to create a place where you only feel like a customer once. Not just for you but for me also. We have been to births, life events and deaths of many, many friends we have made over the last 15 years in Sarasota, Florida. All who have left lasting impressions on our hearts. A restaurant is NOT just a business and it is very competitive and you have to try your very best each and every hour you are open. You can’t invent the passion. You must have it, and must maintain it all the time to provide overall quality. When the business gets too big, you lose touch, friends become just customers and you begin spiral. I created Pietro’s Italian Restaurant and Wine Bar so I could feel alive again. I love this business and I love to share my life with my customers and friends and make a lasting impression on those who I serve.

🇮🇹 A Note from Pietro's Italian Restaurant 🇮🇹

As summer approaches, we'd like to share our upcoming seasonal schedule with our wonderful friends and guests.

Pietro's will be taking a summer break as we return to Italy to spend valuable time with family, visit the family vineyards, and personally select exciting new wines that we look forward to sharing with you when we reopen.

This annual trip is an important tradition that allows us to reconnect with our roots, discover exceptional wines, and bring a little more of Italy back to Sarasota for our guests to enjoy.

We are incredibly grateful for your continued support and for allowing us to be part of so many special celebrations, date nights, family dinners, and memorable evenings throughout the year.

Summer Hours June 1st through August 1st:
Wednesday through Saturday 4:30pm - 10:30pm

Summer Closure:
August 2nd through September 30th, 2026

We look forward to welcoming you before our summer break and can't wait to share new wines, stories, and authentic Italian experiences with you upon our return.
