The owner of Shadracks said he received a warning over his outdoor sign. Code enforcement said the sign must be turned off during turtle nesting season.

Monday.. Biscuit has $2 Busch/Busch Lights from noon until 7:30pm.. Krishna has $2 Heineken/Becks/Stella from 7:30pm until 3am.. someone sent me a pic from an old t-shirt from 6 years ago, and its still relevant..🤣 (disclaimer: this is an artist's rendering.. no mask was actually placed on a turtle.. and no turtle was harmed in the making of this cartoon)..😂 the Bloody Mary Garnish Bar is SUNDAY from 11am - 1pm.. see you at Shads.. :-)

Sunday-funday.. Biscuit has $2 Busch and Corona from noon until 7:30pm.. Scott comes in at 7:30pm until 3am and has $2 Coronas the entire time.. has anyone seen any posts about our sign being off??? 😂.. so this is receiving A TON of attention.. we would like to clarify a few things.. 1) we were in violation in the beginning of May .. 2) we received a certified letter from the city for that violation.. 3) we have had the sign off since that notice.. i'm sure that is public record, everyone is welcome to check.. that being said, Shadracks can agree to turn our sign off in accordance with the law, but DISAGREE with that same law.. for example: how many of you wore a mask when it was federally required?? many or all of you, i know i did.. how many of you knew that it was completely ineffective at stopping the transition of an airborne disease?? many or all of you, i know i knew.. but we did it anyway.. that is Shadracks position.. we don't want to endanger wildlife, nor do we want to break the law.. but we do believe there should be a nest proximity clause to make it reasonable WHEN the lights could be on or turned off.. the point of this post is to make sure all who read this know that Shadracks is following the law, even though we don't agree with it... thanks for the overwhelming support.. Saturday.. Biscuit has $2 Busch/Busch Lights from noon until 7:30pm.. Brittany and Scott come in at 7:30pm.. Brittany leaves around 12:30am.. Scott stays until 3am.. to all of you mental midgets leaving negative, sh*tty comments, you just get blocked and deleted.. one lady lived in ARIZONA.. giving us advice and getting sh*tty with us about sea turtles.. bitch please!!!.. i have gotten many wonderful suggestions on how to solve this problem and i'll share several of them with you now.
1) change the color of the sign
2) cover the west side of the sign with plywood during turtle season
3) pay the fine/fight it in court
4) attach solar powered lights to all of the swim buoys
5) provide all the baby turtles teeny, tiny sunglasses as soon as they hatch.. (probably not feasible, but definitely my fav)
6) keep the sign off until November 1st
these are just a few .. thanks so much for the positive feedback and the positive suggestions.. to those people that say that they are not coming to Shads because of this (keep in mind that our sign has been off the entire time), we have one word for you.. GOOD.. we don't want you here ruining the atmosphere.. it'll be darker than usual on 8th Ave, but its still going to be fun in Shadracks... thanks everyone.. see you at Shads.. :-)

Tonight at 11pm on Channel 8.. Ryan Arbogast did a wonderful piece about our sign... I haven't seen it, but he was very nice and professional, so I imagine it is positive.. if any of you see it, leave a comment and let us know what you think.. thanks everyone... see you at Shads.. 😁

Friday.. Wendy has $2 Busch/Busch Lights from noon until 7:30pm.. Brittany and Scott kick off the weekend at 7:30pm.. Brittany leaves around 12:30am.. Scott stays until 3am.. the full moon is Sunday.. remember, the word LUNATIC is derived from LUNAR (meaning moon).. so ramp it up and have some fun, but let's not get too crazy.. see you at Shads.. :-)

Thursday... Wendy has $2 Busch/Busch Lights from noon until 7:30pm .. Brittany has $5 Thursday.. any single drink is only $5 from 7:30pm until 3am.. and thank you so much for the positive suggestions about the light situation.. we have received several comments about installing "turtle friendly" lights.. but if no turtles can SEE those lights, what difference would it make???.. well folks, look for the only business oriented main street in America with no lights lit.. THAT'S US!!!.. we are still open and we are still rockin it.. thanks for the support everyone.. see you at Shads.. :-)
