Marianne and Matt first began planning to open their own brewery back in 2013. As craft beer enthusiasts and homebrewers, they always dreamed of creating a place where good people could come together, connecting family and work life with their shared passion. But as it often does, life had other plans. Kids, careers, and other priorities took precedence. Fast forward 11 years, and by chance, Marianne and Matt found themselves in Purcellville, hungry, thirsty, and with an hour to spare. They wandered into this very building, home to a nanobrewery with a cool vibe and a tight-knit local community. Seated on a cozy couch in the front lounge, they looked around and thought, “If we ever open our brewery, it should have this kind of local charm.”
Two days later, while revisiting the idea of starting their own brewery, they discovered that one was for sale nearby. It just so happened to be the same one they had visited days earlier. The same one you’re in right now.

Eleven Eleven means different things to different people, but at its core, it’s a universal symbol for things coming together at the perfect moment. Call it synchronicity, fate, or intention meeting opportunity. To us, it’s simply Eleven Eleven (11:11). It also carries a special secondary meaning for us—a tribute to our Veterans, a community close to our hearts, as Veterans Day is celebrated on 11/11.
