Nine years ago, November 1st, 2017, we signed our names on the dotted line
and officially took ownership of Harkers Hollow Golf Club. What came with
the property (177 acres in total) was no equipment, no customers, a very
run-down golf course and Club House.
In the past 9 years we have worked tirelessly to improve this wonderful
property and your experience while visiting with us.
It feels like yesterday and 100 years ago all at once.
We would not be here 9 years later without our wonderful, hardworking and
dedicated staff and you, our loyal patrons.
Once again in 2026, we employed just around 100 individuals. Most of the
100 people work with us seasonally, but we have our core leadership group
that is here with us full time. These careers and jobs have been created
because of your support. Without you, the guest, there is no staff at
Harkers, without the staff, there is no guest. Both groups are vital to our
success.
When we wrote our initial business plan, we started with our vision and
mission statement:
Vision: To revitalize a once great golf course to its full potential in a
gradual and prudent way while building a diverse customer base of loyal
champions of Harkers Hollow Golf Club.
Accomplishing the Vision by following the Mission: Harkers Hollow Golf Club
will continually strive to improve facility conditions in a way that is
practical and economically feasible. Each improvement will be scheduled,
planned and budgeted based on the greatest need, feasibility and largest
overall impact on the facility. The revitalization of Harkers Hollow will
be enjoyed by Members, golf groups, daily fee guests, leagues, and social
functions.
Our Vision and Mission are still our focus each and every day.
We wanted to take the opportunity to thank you for bringing our "crazy"
dream to a reality.
Please know, we are happy with the progress thus far, but we are far from
satisfied. We will continue to improve the property, service, and your
experience with us.
Thank you for your continued support,
Steve Taggart, Jason Hartline, Bill Mandry and Joe Manley
