We urge all to get tickets promptly!! The Oct events typically SELL OUT a few days after the “square” CARD LINK is posted! Seating is rarely available two weeks to ten days before this event. All events prior to this event are sold out. Groups of 4 or more receive priority seating! Group organizers of 8 or more receive a gift! Graphic/adult crime scene photos suggest guest ages 16 & up. The old Stenhouse Roadhouse LANDMARK BUILDING has a rich history of mystery, mayhem and murders, not to mention the eerie spirits that roam about the floors of our authentic 1920’s speakeasy building. There are 2 TRAVEL CHANNEL “DEAD FILES” TV EPISODES, A MOVIE PILOT, SEVERAL PODCASTS, AND A “COAST TO COAST” radio broadcast with Mayor Mike.
“THE TRAP DOOR BAR” OPENS AT 5:00PM to check in guest bootleggers, then we dine with the ghosts in the original “1920’s speak easy café room”
BIG AL’S BUFFET BEGINS AT 6:00PM SHARP!
FLAPPER GALS SALAD BAR: Huge bowl of chilled chopped lettuce, dressings and our famous homemade buttermilk ranch dressing, shredded cheddar, cut tomatoes, cottage cheese, mac & 3 bean salads with croutons.
BIG AL’S FAVORITE, “HIDE-A-WAY BBQ RIBS:” Hearty rib slabs, slow cooked to perfection in a blanket of our house BBQ sauce, portioned and served.
FRANKIE’S FRIED CHICKEN: Uncle Frank’s old world secret batter mix gives each piece of deep-fried chicken a thick crispy hug. Do not ask Frankie for the recipe! If you do, WATCH YOUR REAR VIEW MIRROR ALL THE HOME!
MAD DOG’S DEEP DISH MEAT BALLS: Deep Dish Baked Italian style NO pasta. A standalone favorite for meat lovers! Served with or without the MELTED mozzarella CHEESE toppings. (*All meals include Garlic Bread)
CHEF PADDY'S POTATO BAR: Chef Paddy loves his gold foil wrapped baked potatoes AND / OR his hot butter puddled FLUFFY Mash potatoes.

YOUR EVENING’S AGENDA
1: TRAP DOOR BAR OPENS AT 5 PM. Ten-course buffet served at 6pm sharp.
2 An eerie historical murder & mayhem ghost guide to view as you tour. The guidebook will include a pen, your own rap sheet/crime report of victims who are still haunting our old building. (All guidebooks and crime reports are to be turned in at end of the evening.)
3: AFTER DINNER: Short oral review of the haunted guidebook highlights and *CAUTION TO FEMALE GUESTS ABOUT USING THE HAUNTED lady’s room.
4: TAKE A BREAK: ENJOY A COCKTAIL: Browse and photograph the haunted rooms & collections of over 350 illuminated miniature stagecoaches, knives, guns, old movie memorabilia, humorous bar room tins & mirrors everywhere!
5: “THE COACH LIGHT THEATER ROOM” presents a video preparing you to meet resident ghosts. View photos taken by prior guests capturing bizarre unearthly disembodied residents floating about in and out our mirror portals.
6: GUEST INQUIRIES: Your evening is EMCEED by former Oregon Mayor Mike Arians Host of the Travel Channel’s Dead Files TV episodes, "The Obsession." Mayor Mike is also the central character in a new movie pilot, multiple books including “Mary Jane’s Ghost,” by Pulitzer Prize winning Chicago Tribune reporter/author Ted Gregory, "Silence The Dead" by Shamus award winning nominee, crime series author, Jack Fredrickson and multiple chapters in “Bloody Illinois” by Troy Taylor and “Ghosts of Northern Illinois” by Steven Osborne, 12 pod casts and last the book “Mary Jane and the Mayor.”
7: HAUNTED BASEMENT TOUR: This tour explores the MYSTERIOUS 1920's haunted mirror portals, original bootleggers butcher shop, trap doors to bar & stairway to nowhere, illegal booze shipping/receiving rooms, fingerprints on the ceiling, photo opts with hot “lady of the evening” mannequins and deadly gambling gangsters in their secret poker room, 1920's cabin guests shower & potty. An attractive BLONDE GHOST LADY showers nightly, NO PEEKING!
8: GUEST PHOTO OPTS: There are 2 authentic Roaring 20's TOMMY GUNS in the ammo box you are welcome to use to TAKE YOUR PHOTO WITH BIG AL in the backdrop to get the feel of what it was like back in the day.
PLEASE! During your basement tour if you feel the urge to leave the area, please advise your guide before departing! Two guests from a prior tour went missing from the group some time ago and are still unaccounted for.
9: LAST, each group returns to the “Coach Light Theater” room to complete their crime sheet and turn it in to your hosts, with the ghost guidebook.
10: WIND DOWN AND VISIT with your hosts about your experience.
Cell phone cameras & handheld ghost detector devices are welcome throughout the event. *We encourage guests to prepare for their evening by SEARCHING AI & ALL, “Is the Roadhouse in Oregon, Il. haunted?”

Unfortunately, we have been forced to turn away many very disappointed folks over the years who have delayed booking this unique seasonal outing. This event (including dinner) takes approximately 3.5 hours. If you are attending with someone else who has booked separately or under a different name, please notify us in advance so that we can seat you together.
