The weather is heating up, river days are here, and we’re working hard behind the scenes to get Taft’s up and running for your after-river, after-sports, and summer hangout spot. ☀🍻

As with any construction project, there have been a few bumps along the way, but we’re getting closer every day. We can’t wait to welcome you in for cold beer, good food, and a place to relax with family and friends after a day on the water or at the ball field.

Before there was the thought of Taft’s Tap, there was Lorado Taft, the artist behind one of Oregon’s most iconic landmarks, Black Hawk Statue, standing tall since 1911.

More than a century later, his name still carries weight in this town. And now we’re proud to be a small part of that story.

Taft’s Tap is built on the same idea: creating something that brings people together. Maybe not a monument, but a place to gather, share a cold beer, enjoy great pizza, and make memories right here in Oregon.

So… why the name Taft’s Tavern? 🍻

Right down the road, the Taft Campus at Lowden State Park has been bringing people together since 1898, when artist Lorado Taft created a riverside retreat for connection and community along the Rock River.

Taft’s Tavern isn’t just a name. It’s a place to gather after a day at Lowden, time on the river, a game, a round of golf, or a ride. A place for good food, cold drinks, and the kind of memories that keep you coming back.
