It’s a harvest, deadhead, and label-every-single-dahlia-variety kind of morning! 7,000+ tubers planted, 100+ varieties grown, and even though we’re still 30+ days out from the dahlia dig, the prep is already well underway behind the scenes.
Every variety needs to be labeled before we dig, and then comes the digging, washing, dividing, storing, and eventually selling thousands and thousands of tubers.
There’s a whole lot that happens between a field full of dahlias and a tuber ready to head to its next garden.
The race is officially on to get it all done before frost!
