It’s Tuesday, which means new books are hitting our shelves and TBR piles! Here’s what Lindsay is picking up for herself today…

GRIM TIDINGS- A grim reaper is sick and tired of her job (honestly, who isn’t?) and decides to save her next victim instead, clashing with a guardian angel along the way. We are seeing more and more of these “the bureaucracy of paranormal” romances lately and I can’t get enough of them.

DOOMSDATE- Come for the vintage-style cover, stay for the zombie apocalypse. Also Laura Piper Lee’s first book this year, ‘Pot Shot’, was delightful.

THE EMPEROR'S ENEMY- A Knight Mage powered by feminine rage with an enemies-to-lovers dark romance? PUT IT IN MY BRAIN NOW.

It’s Tuesday, which means new books are hitting our shelves! Here is what Lindsay is adding to her TBR this week…

TEMPEST- As a girl who never outgrew my crush on Tim Curry as Long John Silver, I will read any and every pirate story. 🏴‍☠️

BURN OF THE EVERFLAME- I don’t really think words are necessary here. 🔥

SEE YOU NEXT TUESDAY- Honestly, The Dial Press could publish a phone book and I would read it. Their Dial Delights imprint has been a powerhouse of my favorite contemporaries. I didn’t think an elections-themed romance was something I needed, but I trust in Dial.

THE DARK LORD'S GUIDE TO HONEYMOONING- I’ve had grabby hands for this sequel BEFORE I finished Dark Lord’s Guide to Dating.

BIG BAD WOLF- If you are forever chasing that Grimm tv series high, this one is for you.

It’s Tuesday, which means new releases are hitting our shelves this morning! Here are the titles hitting Lindsay’s TBR pile today. 👉🏻

THE KNAVE AND THE MOON- It’s here, Bartholomew! Who else has been slowly dying since the last page of ‘The Knight and the Moth’? If you see me permanently glued to the couch at Swoon devouring this in one take, no you didn’t.

REIGN- It’s the first day of the ‘ber months, which means it’s witching season. ‘Reign’ takes place in a kingdom where witchcraft is forbidden, so when our FMC’s gift is exposed, she flees her village disguised as a man only to end up on a battlefield. This book is giving witchy Mulan vibes, and I hope that is exactly what it delivers.

EDGE OF OBSESSION- Sexy dystopian modern-day Vikings? Say less.

PAPER GHOSTS- I read ‘Garden Spells’ during COVID lockdown and have never been the same. Sarah Addison Allen has permanently cemented her status as an auto-buy author for me.

To the woman who loved books and sequins even more than we do, we dedicate the Backwoods Barbie. Lately, she’s been spending her free time cheering on her son’s basketball games, reading just about anything she can get her hands on, and enjoying a good cup of coffee. If you’re pouring her a glass of wine, make it white!⁠

If Swoon were a romance novel, she’d call it A Little Taste of Swoonshine Goes a Long Way. We honestly couldn’t have come up with a more fitting title ourselves.⁠
