Another beer dinner - this time with our friends at
Thursday May 28, we will be featuring a 3-course (plus reception/hors d’oeuvres) dinner with beer pairings from Ghost Town. There are some treats for sure, including a zero-day IPA and a cherry-conditioned Bruin.

Saison Season is here. Today for our “brewery” feature we are highlighting the beer style Saison.
We have five Saisons on draft and more in the bottle, in a range of farmhouse styles.
Chef Raiden has the perfect pairing for us too:
Moules frites
Salt springs mussels steamed in saison DuPont, Thai green curry coconut broth Thai basil, sofrito, garlic fries

But there’s more! As a bonus, we are doing a kind of bingo/trivia game where ordering a Saison and answering a trivia question gets you a stamp on our bingo card. Get a row stamped and you get a free cookie.

This one began as a celebration of La Malpolon, a French brewery that specializes in Saisons…and then we added a whole bunch of other Saisons. Chef Raiden will be serving his Moules Frites and we will be pouring the following:

Hey everyone, we are back to our Monthly Brewery Features, and tomorrow we celebrate Hidden Splendor. Hidden Splendor is the latest project from our friend Dave McLean, whom we’ve known since his old Magnolia days. Dave has been a pillar of the Bay Area beer scene, having been a founder of Magnolia, Admiral Maltings, and now Hidden Splendor. They will soon be opening up a brewpub in San Rafael called Excelsior.
Tomorrow, we will be pouring five Hidden Splendor beers on tap, and will be welcoming Dave in person in the evening. Beers flowing all day, and Chef Raiden will be pairing the beers up with Pork Belly Tot-chos.
Join us on the last Thursday of every month for these brewery features, and see you tomorrow.

Our SF Beer Week event today is Beer & Cookies.
About 10 years ago, a cookie company from Berkeley (no longer in business) approached us to ask if we’d like to collaborate on a beer & cookies pairing event for Beer Week. We agreed, but didn’t think much would come of it - kind of a throw-away event. And then we had a line at the door and sold a ton of them.
When we opened in Rockridge, with bartender Kathleen Roberts rejoining the team, we had a talented pastry chef, and added the Cookie Platter to the dessert menu, always available with optional beer pairings.
Today Kate has gone all out with some special cookies and pairings:
