Located in dowtown Oak Park’s Pleasant District, Anfora W**e Merchants is an Italian-centric boutique w**e shop and education center. Inspired by the enotecas found throughout Italy, Anfora W**e Merchants compliments its retail services with a dynamic by-the-glass program where patrons can sit, relax and enjoy a glass of w**e accompanied by snacks, charcuterie and cheese plates. In addition, we host weekly w**e classes for those who wish to delve deeper into the vast patrimony of Italian w**es. To create community around a shared love and curiosity of Italian w**es, Anfora offers a yearly membership program and a w**e of the month subscription.

Each Thankful Trio sold donates $15 to Beyond Hunger, when you add in Anfora’s matching donation EACH trio contributes 90 meals.

Since 2020 we have collectively supported over 24,000 meals.

Few w**e regions in the world are as intimately defined by a grape and a place as the Mosel. Here, Riesling meets the region’s legendary slate soils in one of w**e’s great symbiotic relationships—a combination where the whole is far greater than the sum of its parts.

But the story of the Mosel goes far beyond grape and geology. Its winding river, dramatic slopes, and countless nooks and crannies created an extraordinary patchwork of distinct vineyard sites. Centuries ago, this gave rise to an idea the rest of the w**e world would take much longer to embrace: that where a w**e is grown matters profoundly.

Join us as we dig deep into one of the world’s greatest w**e regions, exploring its soils, vineyards, history, and the remarkable Rieslings that bring it all to life. We’re thrilled to be joined by our friends from vom Boden for this deep dive into the Mosel.

YoYo, La Négra

Dark fruit, earth, spice. A little feral, a little pretty.

La Négra comes from 80-year-old Carignan vines planted in granite at the foothills of the Albères — a landscape tucked between the mountains and the Mediterranean. Yoyo farms these old vines organically, working the steep terrain by hand, horse, and mule.

90% Carignan, with a touch of Grenache Blanc, Gris & Noir. Semi-carbonic maceration, a little time in barrel, no fining, no filtration.

There’s something especially cool about this one: old vines, mountain fruit, Mediterranean air, and a touch of wildness.

A fun one we opened for members today. 🖤

The unofficial end of summer is here, and we marked the transition into fall with our members — despite today’s forecast.

From one of our favorite estates, Pācina, perhaps the most holistic and philosophically cohesive estate I’ve ever had the pleasure of visiting.

This savory Rosato beautifully straddles seasons and even the time of day. Deep cranberry, explosive cherry, nepitella, porcini, and summer truffle — bright and earthy, wild and elegant.

A w**e that feels like late summer reluctantly giving way to fall.
