Taking time today to pause, reflect and remember.
We are closed today.
A note from the owner: my feelings are always complicated on this day. But it's been a really rough year, and today I find myself thinking about what's worth fighting for. What's worth dying for? I'm thinking about all the folks who died in the service of a greater good, or the belief that something better is possible. I'm thinking about the people who had no choice but to wear that uniform and the people who felt that they had no other choice. And I'm thinking about the people who chose to fight, whether for a belief in this democracy or for folks to be free.
I'm also thinking about how we still have a lot of work to do to fight for everyone to be free, both here and abroad.
So I hold sorrow, fury and heaviness, and simultaneously send love and gratitude out into the cosmos to all those who fought (and those who continue to fight) for something greater than themselves.
