Come hell or high water Froggy Bottoms River Pub has been a staple in Northfield since 2001 surviving through the 2010 flood when “The water was this high” and in 2014 & 2016 when Northfield volunteers worked 24 hour shifts to keep the floors dry until the water receded. The authentic spiral staircase welcomes all ages to enjoy a variety of great appetizers, wraps, burgers and voted Southern Minn

Scene’s “Best place for Fries” in 2015 & "Best Bloody Mary 2016". Open seasonally and for special catered events, Froggy Bottom’s adjoining Lily Padio awarded “Best Patio” in 2015 & 2016 is a great place to enjoy the views of Downtown Northfield against the Cannon River.

Frog pondered a moment and then replied,
"Yes, Toad. I agree. Maybe we should visit the old shop! I hear they have a tasty birria grilled cheese sandwich."
Toad looked up at Frog hopefully. "Isn't birria what cousin Edwardo made for us when we visited Jalisco?" Toad rolled his eyes. "That was so good!"
Frog laughed. "Well, these folks have a family recipe that is from Monterrey, Mexico. That is not so far as Jalisco, but I hear it may be even better!"
Toad hopped up and down in anticipation!
"And to think, I just wanted some of our old French fries!"
Frog looked at Toad knowingly. "You know, Toad...they have...Terco Fries."
Toad gasped! "No. Really?"
Frog looked at Toad. "Do you have your coat?"
His friend nodded vigorously!
Toad croaked, What a beautiful Taco Terco evening!"
Frog replied, "It's is, isn't it."

"I'm glad to see you found your tea set after the flood."
"Yes", replied Frog. "I am pleased, too."
Frog continued; "Toad- do you think my cousins will do well as the new owners of the Pub?"
"Why, yes, Frog." replied Toad. "Don't you?"
"Yes...yes I do. I was just thinking how they changed the frickle recipe. That's all."
Toad scratched his head. "I find them super tasty! Frickle spears that they hand batter are even better than our frickles were, don't you think?"
Frog nodded approvingly. "My cousins sure make a great batter. They also batter the chicken strips...and hand cut the fries!"
Toad looked up at Frog. He was starting to salivate. "Frog; you're making me hungry. Can we go onto the padio and order a smash burger? I love the crispy edges! And Frickle spears!"
Frog nodded decisively. "Yes, Toad; let's eat on the padio!
Toad croaked happily. "Can we get one of those new drinks that makes me feel like I'm on a lily pad basking in the sun?"
Frog looked at him and laughed. "My friend; you can. The rules in our pond have changed. And that's an OK thing."
Toad stopped and thought for a moment while looking at his feet.
"What are you thinking, Toad?" asked Frog.
Toad looked up at his friend's eyes. "Frog...are they keeping the name of the Pub the same?"
Frog put his hand on Toad's shoulder. He smiled at his friend. "Toad; there was just the two of us when this was our place. There's three of them. It's their place now. Things change. Hey, folks;
We've got an announcement regarding the pub. There's been quite the buzz about town about whether Froggys is closing- we are.
Sunday is our last day. We just can't find people to work, and that just doesn't make good Frogonomics. We are helping transition our people over to other jobs so hopefully the impact is minimal for them. We have really enjoyed make a positive impact on our friends and customers! That being said, come one down for the last couple of days of live music and have yourself a burger and some frickles! It's been a ride! Thanks for your support!
