Today I taught a virtual paint class for a corporate team and it reminded me of something…

Nothing really replaces being together in person.

The original Paint Bar nights will always feel special to me. The energy, the chaos, everyone painting side by side… there’s honestly nothing like it.

But there’s also something really nice about people slowing down at home, logging on from different places, and still creating something together.

And after all these years, I think that’s the part I care about most.

Not perfect paintings.
Not fancy supplies.
Just people making time to be creative again.

That’s exactly why I keep making tutorials people can do at home.

I had a moment today with my 5 year old where I thought… this is exactly what I want Mother’s Day to feel like. 🤍

It was simple, creative, and so fun and special for us both!

But it also made me realize how much I want something that gives me a little time for myself too.

So I’ve been working on something that gives you both.

Time to create on your own… or together, depending on what you need that day (or before… or after).

I think this might be my favorite idea yet.

I get it, mamas.

Thanks… it’s because I stopped scrolling and started painting 🌸

There’s something about sitting down, even for 20 minutes, and making something with your hands that just… shifts your whole mood.

It’s not about having more time.
It’s about having something simple to start.
