This is a bittersweet way to start off the year but as the saying goes “All Good Things Must Come To An End”.

Next Thursday will be Luke O’Brien’s last shift at B-side.

He was one of B-side’s 3 senior bartenders we inherited during our acquisition and is the last one left. It’s been a real treat to see him put his 20+ years of bartending experience to work behind our bar.

But he’s not just some slick bartender, he’s a rockstar in his own right! Satirical wit through art and psychotic pranks meant for an audience of one, him.. 😑

Above all he’s been a friend and it almost feels as if he had to see us through all the way back to our reopening, like the shepherd he is or as he would say “the blind leading the blind”.

So come by and help us close it out one last time in the East Village with him, at B-side.

The Girls Club is one of the last great sanctuaries of our beautiful neighborhood and it’s served countless young girls in helping to shape their futures. It’s essential for us to do everything in our power to make sure that today’s girls are tomorrows leaders.
