Flag Day Sunday June 14

Legion Post 762 will holding its annual Flag burning ceremony at the Park on North Church ST beginning at 7:30pm. ALL are welcome. Gate to the park will be open at 6:30. The ceremony is for the proper disposal of flags that have come to the end of their service life. Snacks and cold water will be available for everyone.

If you have flags that you would like properly destroyed, please drop them off at the Commanders house. 301 Ledgewood CT. There is a brown storage container near the front door they can be left in. Please have all flags dropped off by Saturday evening June 14.

Memorial Day Monday May 25, 2026: Legion Post 762 will be honoring our fall en heroes at our 3 local cemeteries. Sunday May 17:
Hello Legion members and supporters! We are still collecting signatures on our petition to get our liquor license approved at our new location. We need about 30 more signatures. Myself and a couple other members and supporters have been out the past 2 days knocking on doors. Thank you if you were home and answered the door. I know it is hard to catch everyone at home. We have a member who lives at 201 Drina that has offered for folks to stop and sign the petition every evening this week between 5:30-8:30. If you live anywhere in the Perry ST/Drina AV areas of town and want to stop and sign the petition, it would be greatly appreciated. If you need one of us to come by your house, please call or text me when a good day/time would be to stop at your home or meet you in town. Sunday 5/3: Today is our last shoot of the Spring season. Come join us. We start at 1pm, gates open at noon. Shoots are $5 each.
Snack shack will have $5 taco salads.
If you need to update your American flag, the Legion has 3x5 ($25) and 5x8 ($45) flags for sale. They are made in the USA. Come grab one so your home is ready to celebrate America’s 250th birthday.
If you live in New Lebanon on the North side of US 35, we would really appreciate you signing our petition to get on the November ballot to have our liquor license moved to our new location. Hello Post 762 supporters. We need your help. It has been found out (long story, doesn’t matter now), that to move our liquor license from our old location to our new location at 519 E. Main ST, it is going to require a vote by the voters who live in New Lebanon Perry township. We need a petition signed by 136 registered voters before the issue can be put on the November ballot. We need all registered voters who live North of US 35 in the village limits to sign our petition. We will be knocking on doors, but want to ask anyone who can come to the park on North Church ST the next 2 Sundays (April 26 and May 3) during our turkey shoots to stop by and sign our petition . You must be a registered voter residing in the defined area. If you are not a registered voter, I have the paperwork available to get you registered and you can fill that out, sign the petition and I will take your form to the board of elections. If you would want a member to stop at your home with the petition, please message or call me and I will arrange to come to your home for the signature. I will be posting different dates and times we will be set up in town to get signatures. We will be set up at the voting polls on May 5 as well. Please help us get this question on the November ballot by signing the petition. We want to get our Legion fully open when the renovations are complete. Happy to answer any questions.
