This is just the start of the incredible team of people and groups who joined forces to make this event truly epic. I'm super stoked to give a huge thanks to each and every single one of you. I'll be adding more faces tomorrow, but it's Taco Tuesday and I've already had my fill, so I'll wrap it up for today. Can't wait to catch up with everyone at the Santos benefit on Saturday the 13th from 1-6 here at 3208 Wilmington Road. When someone asks why i love living in New Castle.... This is why... NCPride..

On another note. We will be having a Chinese Auction. Tickets will start being sold on Friday. That gives everyone 2 days to be a part of a heartfilled event. Baskets, gift cards, and any type of donate can be dropped off at El-Canelo... Thank you to everyone who took the time to read, share, or like this post.

Community Benefit Carnival 🎪

We are hosting a Carnival to benefit one of our beloved cooks who is currently fighting stage four tounge cancer. He is currently at home with a tracheostomy and feeding tube, and will soon begin radiation treatments. Every single dollar raised from this event will go directly to support him during this incredibly difficult time.

The event will feature food, games, prizes, and a Chinese Auction 1:00 pm - 6:00 pm!

How You Can Help:

We are actively seeking donations for gift baskets and gift cards, as well as volunteers to help out. If you would like to contribute or support in any way, please reach out to Antonio Porras (El-Canelo Mexican Restaurant) on Facebook, or feel free to stop by the store anytime.

We are incredibly grateful for the overwhelming support we have received so far, and we cannot wait to see everyone on June 13th at 3208 Wilmington Road! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Many people have been asking for the details for the fund-raising. It will be June 13th from 1pm until 5pm. Food, games, prizes, vendors, and a Chinese Auction. Take a chance at dunking your favorite El-Canelo employee in the dunk booth. Alcohol will be available only for inside the restaurant. If you would like to donate a basket, gift card, check, or cash. Stop into El-Canelo between the hours of open to close, or message one of us, and we will gladly pick it up. So many people have been reaching out how to help. And we greatly appreciate it... Thank you to everyone for all your support to a great cause ❤️

As many of you are aware, a post was made yesterday and I wanted to wait to speak with the family before we made a post. We did have something in the works for Santos. We where waiting for for warmer weather and a special permit to sale alcohol outside. But the family could really use the help now. So on June 13th El-Canelo Mexican Restaurant & Bar will be hosting a carnival with all of the proceeds being giving to Santos Aguileras family. We also will be having a Chinese Auction. We will have food, games, and vendors aswell. If anyone would like to help with a donation for the auction or a vendor would like to be a part of the donation.
