Fresh and simple was the approach with the specials for the week. Our Summer Salad features baby red romaine, Herbsaint infused cherry tomatoes, Benton’s country ham, Creole cream cheese, Anson Mills Carolina Gold rice dressing, and benne crumble. For our seafood entrée, grilled swordfish is served over a Creole ratatouille of summer squash, mirliton, and eggplant with potato espuma, onion ash, and pistou. Our specials for the week start with the Grilled Barracuda served with royal red shrimp, Tasso spiced crawfish, rice noodles, baby red romaine, radish, cucumber, mirliton, boiled peanuts, fresh herbs, and a Viet Cajun dressing that brings everything together. The No Rain hits all the right notes of a classic Old Fashioned while taking things a step further. Made with , burnt honey, blood orange, and Peychaud’s bitters, then finished with a toasted rosemary garnish, this cocktail delivers both great taste and a striking visual presence. We begin this week’s specials with the Seafood Ragout featuring red shrimp, snapper, and mussels in a Creole tomato sauce with fennel and house made squid ink fettuccine, finished with oyster leaf. The Navarin highlights Barnsley chop lamb with baby turnips, carrots, leeks, marble potatoes, and fresh herbs de Provence. Our Louisiana Yellowfin Tuna is a dish that delivers bold flavor while keeping things refreshingly light. Benne crusted and blackened rare tuna is served over Carolina Gold rice with mixed greens, Thai basil, spring vegetables, and finished with a bright chile lime dressing. Sourced directly from Louisiana fishermen and shipped to us weekly, the tuna arrives at peak freshness, all coming together for a plate that is satisfying without feeling too heavy.
