El Cid on Sunset El Cid is a historic restaurant and bar, live venue, and flamenco supper club in Silver Lake.

The lot where our restaurant stands has more than a century of history. The space has been through many iterations, including a café and theater. Finally, in 1962, El Cid opened it’s doors to become LA’s go-to flamenco bar and restaurant. While our cuisine is authentically Spanish, that old Hollywood history still emanates throughout our ambiance. So order some food and enjoy whatever exciting show we have planned that night.

Holy Sun Opera House creates emotionally engaging and haunting symphonic music embellished by electronics, heavy drums and synthesizers. Their shows feature a revolving cast of collaborators, singers, and performers. The group has been described as “Opera Cult” and as one who would play at the Roadhouse in Twin Peaks. They draw influence from early Dead Can Dance, Fever Ray and Klaus Nomi.

Lia Braswell is a Los Angeles–based musician, songwriter, and producer. With over a decade of international touring experience as a drummer, she has performed across nearly every continent and appeared at major festivals including Coachella. Braswell’s debut solo album, Rising, marks her emergence as a primary songwriter, unveiling an ethereal dream-folk sound that emphasizes atmospheric melodies and introspection.

Pony Sweat is a fiercely noncompetitive dance aerobics practice created by Emilia Richeson-Valiente. We are inspired by q***r-punk-feminist thought, music-fandom, and collective effervescence. Our goals are to cultivate freedom of movement and thought, to take care of ourselves and to take care of each other. Come as you are, all ways, always!

El Cid Presents Wendy Eisenberg & More Eaze live on June 15th

Wendy Eisenberg has spent the past decade as a fixture of
independent music and an artist of inspired multiplicity. As a
singer-songwriter, improviser, and virtuoso guitarist, the
coordinates of their artistry are ever-shifting, from art-rock to
jazz to blistering free improv and eloquent folk. On catalog
highlights including 2020’s 'Auto' and the 2024 free-jazz sprawler
'Viewfinder', they’ve made a signature of ambition.
As Eisenberg told fellow guitarist Nick Millevoi in an interview
for Premier Guitar in 2021, “I need to be in a punk band at the
same time as I need to be playing free improv at the same time as
I need to be playing songs. All at the same time—otherwise none of
the practices will work for me.” Their musical range isn’t a glib
manifestation of eclecticism, but a genuine artistic essence

More Eaze is the project of Brooklyn-based sound artist and multi-instrumentalist Mari Maurice. Ranging from ambient pop to folk and musique concrete, her numerous solo and collaborative releases weave mundane, everyday sounds, acoustic orchestration and instrumentation, and electronics into adventurous textural compositions. Her music explores themes of intimacy, yearning, Americana, and the transformation of abstract feeling into intense living through compositions that move seamlessly between the banal and the ethereal. She has recently released work with Thrill Jockey, 15 Love, Longform Editions, Leaving Records, Ecstatic, and Orange Milk. Her work as a string arranger, pedal steel player, and producer has recently been featured on recordings by Martha Skye Murphy, Water Damage, Lomelda, Fashion Club, Claire Rousay, Space Afrika and Rainy Miller, and Nick Zanca amongst others. She regularly performs in the duos Pink Must (w/ Lynn Avery) and whait (w/ Wendy Eisenberg).
