Five days to Halloween. If your costume is still "in development," that's what we say at work when nothing has happened yet.

Legends of Rock warm up Thursday 10/29, 7–10pm. Saturday is the main event: Night of the Dancing Ghouls, 7–10pm. Costumes encouraged, and drink specials Saturday night if you come in costume.

Noah, our house skeleton, has been in costume since September, and frankly he's making the rest of us look bad. The decorations are up.

Halloween is a Saturday this year: Night of the Dancing Ghouls. Costumes encouraged, and drink specials Saturday night if you come in costume. Legends of Rock also play Thu 10/29, 7–10pm, if you want a warm-up.

A dog had a better Saturday night than you did. Front row, Motown, Myles Roach taking requests from the doorway, and Matt Sky sitting in for the last set.

Don't let the dog win twice: Myles is back Sat 11/7 (60s and 70s Requests) and Sat 11/21 (Motown + Requests), both 7–10pm.

Sat 10/17 · 7–10pm · Motown + Requests with Myles Roach

Motown first, then the setlist is yours. Myles is on keys and taking requests all night, so start drafting yours now. We open at 2pm, which is plenty of time to narrow it down to three.

The staff and the band will be in costume, so dress up in your favorite Motown look and get in the spirit.

What are you requesting? Motown answers get extra credit.

Jazz on a Thursday, and the flyer is the band's own: Dennis Bryan, Mark Fronke, Dan Gonzalez and TBurd Burris. Standards from the 20s through the 50s, and the kind of swing that makes a Thursday feel dressed up for no particular reason.

Last time they were here, a guest ended up as the crooner of the night. Nobody's promising a repeat. Nobody's ruling it out.
