Swim Tip Tuesday: running out of air when you swim freestyle? Try this.

Breathe out slowly while your face is in the water, then turn your head to the side, not up, and take a quick breath in. Keep one goggle in the water as you turn. Breathing out underwater is what makes the next breath easy.

Our instructors teach this in adult and kids swim lessons at Glass Court Swim & Fitness Club in Lombard, in our indoor heated pool.

The leaves are falling, but we’re still in the pool.

Fall is honestly one of the best times to start swim lessons. Nobody has to start over in spring, it’s a great break from screens, and you’ll sleep like a rock after. That goes for kids and grown-ups.

Our swim lessons in Lombard are small and built around you, whatever your age or comfort level in the water.

That’s a wrap on outdoor pool season in Lombard. Thanks to a warm October, our outdoor pool stayed open longer than most years, and we loved seeing so many families and swimmers soaking up those extra sunny afternoons with us.

The outdoor pool closes for the season on Tuesday, October 13. Swimming doesn’t stop here, though. Our indoor heated pool is open year-round, so lap swim, swim lessons, and family swim time carry right on through the colder months.
