We are devastated at the news that American icon Dolly Parton has died. 😭 Speaking as the older of the Baja LR owners, I remember saving M&M wrappers to get our first 45 record, which was "9 to 5." (My first 8-track was KISS 🤘). We made fun of one of our sister's Dolly Barbie, which was a little larger than the average doll if you know what I mean. 😉

In honor of The Queen, please consider donating new children's books or money to Arkansas Imagination Library. Dolly created this nonprofit to put books into the homes of young children. Millions have been distributed in Arkansas. It has been shown to give recipients a head start in school. Reading is fundamental. Let's pay it forward.

Bulgogi tacos are sweet and savory; curry cheese dip with Korean pepper flakes might ruin you for all other quesos; and churros with Loblolly Creamery dark chocolate and caramel sauce will give you sweet dreams and wanting more!

We’ve been trying different Asian foods lately as we prepare for the change. We highly recommend Kusina Cuisine in Jacksonville! Wonderful food and even better owners (veteran-owned)! If you want to try authentic Filipino food, go to Kusina. We didn’t even know some of what we were ordering, but it was all delicious. Please support this locally owned business.

We’re closed on Mondays, but there’s no rest for the weary! Another day closer to finishing renovations. The first image is looking from the back dining room toward the existing space. We had a delicious time at eggshells kitchen co. learning to cook with kimchi! They offer all sorts of classes, including knife work, risottos, date night cooking, and more. It’s a great deal!

Baja Grill LR will be rebranding in the next couple of months. Be on the lookout for Latin Asian specials as we test some new recipes!!! We love Baja’s food (we love our customers even more), but it’s time to go our own way. It’ll still feel familiar, though. Thank goodness we’ll always have Baja in Benton!!!
