Well, no surprise here… 🍕 This week’s Merchant Monday was the one and only Sir Pizza's Old Town Pub!

We sat down with owner Connie to hear her story, and it’s a pretty special one.

Connie grew up right here in Lansing and got her first job at Sir Pizza as a delivery driver. She worked her way up, took a chance on herself, and eventually bought the business in 2007.

As a Hispanic woman business owner, Connie says the support she’s received from her community has meant everything along the way.

That same sense of support is something Connie makes sure Sir Pizza gives right back. Over the years, Sir Pizza has proudly created a welcoming space for Lansing’s LGBTQ+ community, including hosting drag nights and events that give people a place to gather, celebrate and simply be themselves. For Connie, making sure people feel welcome and supported when they walk through the door is a big part of what Sir Pizza is all about.

And of course, there’s the pizza. The Royal Feast and Crusader are longtime favorites, along with baked potatoes, a full bar, Social District drinks, and a newly remodeled back room available to rent.

When we asked Connie what she loves most about Old Town, she said it best: it’s that feeling of knowing everyone’s name when you walk down the street.

Sir Pizza has been an Old Town staple for years, and we’re lucky to have Connie and her crew here. ❤️🍕
