Hello, friends. The world is starting to open back up, and I'm getting notifications that folks are checking on the page for updates. I'm really sorry, but I've decided I'm stepping back from running the book club.

10 years is a pretty great run, but at this point I just don't have the capacity to pick it back up. If someone is inclined to take it over, I fully support that (and will probably come sometimes!). If not, please share your other book clubs here so folks have the opportunity to join.

I hope you're all well, and that you all stay in touch.

Sending you lots of love,

Morgan

I'm trying this new thing called "being prepared"??? On tuesday we're voting for books for the first half of 2019. I picked some out and gathered information on them BEFOREHAND, like some kind of adult librarian, and I am letting you all take a look at them in advance if you want. I'll still bring the printed ballots and title information, but it's a lot of reading to do, for those of you who care to do it. If you won't be with us on Tuesday and you're a regular with opinions, send them to me in a message and I'll make sure to include your votes.

Book categories are in groups of three titles each; we'll pick one title from each group.

Book 1: Trail of Lightning by Rebecca Roanhorse Summary: When a small town needs her help in finding a missing girl, Maggie Hoskie, a Dinetah monster hunter and supernaturally gifted killer, reluctantly enlists the help of an unconventional medicine man to uncover the terrifying truth behind th...
