Set in a Portland transformed by a devastating earthquake, Emma’s debut novel explores motherhood, survival, and the people who help us find our way through upheaval. Hear from Emma about the inspiration behind this gripping story, and spend the evening in good company at Thirsty Caterpillar.

Join us next week for an evening with Emma Pattee! Emma is a local climate journalist and fiction writer. Her debut novel, Tilt, follows a woman who is nine months pregnant as she makes her way across Portland after a devastating earthquake. It’s a gripping story of impending motherhood, survival, and the connections that carry us through the unthinkable.
